+1........... IMHO I think anybody can lease a GTR, but far from few can actually afford to buy the GTR. When you are leasing a car you are going to pay a couple to several hundred less each month on your monthly car payment & in the end you will never actually pay the full price of the car. So at the end of the day it is always about money. A lot of people are just trying to impress others & trying to keep up with the Jone’s IMHO.

Exactly, I'd buy a manual Audi R8, I'd buy a manual Porsche turbo, Id but a **** load of MANUALS in the 100k-150k range. Buy a manual GT3, why get a Z lol.

If we threw money out the window, and were all given a choice to walk into Nissan and pick a Z or GTR, im sure we would all pick the GTR. Please don't try to justify picking a Z.

People get too caught up in upgrades/downgrades between vehicles. Different vehicles have different attributes. I loved my GT-R, but I'm also enjoying my new 370z in other ways.

The long version of how I went from GT-R+G37 to 370z is in the thread I posted a few days back, but basically sold the GT-R and G37 when we built our new house. Since we turned our old place into a rental, I didn't have any cash out toward the new one, so some sacrafices had to be made to have 20% down on a 500k house. Other people may have sold investments or took 401k loans, but I opted to sell my toys.

To be honest this is a worthy move.

+1........ I would have more than likely done the same, but I would have thought long & hard about it. I wouldn't want to take out a loan, or take money from my 401k & get hit with penalties. Hopefully you had fun & enjoyed the toys while it lasted. IMHO having a nice or nicer house is far more important than driving an expensive car. Yeah if things are taken care of & money isn't an issue, then get that sweet a** ride.

Another important consideration is I bought mine in 2008 based on the original MSRP of $73k. Now the MSRP is 25K higher. That difference prices more people out of the market and increases the value proposition of the 370z when compared to a GT-R.

That makes a huge difference too. I was really surprised to see that the GT-R went up so effen much in a matter of four years. The GT-R puts out some great numbers, but not worth the price now.
