the best is when the elderly folk walk up after seeing my car and start telling me stories of days of old.... of their 240, 280z's.... how they would take it to the strip every friday and saturday night and just lay the rubber down. Their memories of speed and avoiding the Cops. the thrill and the excitement of the wind against their faces. the longing for their Z sports car again...... and at the end of it all..... just plain and simple..... admiration..... thats what i enjoy.
Plain and simple....the Z community......

The best compliment I got on my Z wasn't in words. I was parked at the video store as my wife went in to return a movie.
A japanese man, with his 2 sons (est ages around 4and 8 years old) sees my car. He stops both his kids about 7 feet away. He kneels down and puts his youngest son to lean on his knee, while getting the attention of his older one. He points at the car and starts telling the kids something in his native language. His face filled with enormous pride. He looked at the car with so much admiration for what his country made. And watching him share it with his children with that look of pride on his face was the biggest compliment ever. They stayed around 30 seconds kneeled down talking to his kids. Then when he got up... he waved at me and gave me the hugest thumbs up I ever got driving any car. As he went to walk in the establishment, they kept scoping every line and curve of my ride. He really made me feel proud to own my Z. I've gotten a lot of huge verbal compliments on my Z. But this one was filled with so much emotion in that mans face. Its something I will never forget. |

I've caught numerous people taking pictures of it when I leave a store. I've even had a few kids posing with it. It's funny to see that many people admiring a car that isn't over 100k.

I like "Can you take me for a ride?" No Penthouse stories to report though.
Sunday while at the track, somebody had his family with them and dad posed with my car pretending it was his.

I love when older people roll down their windows and I get to hear stories of their old 240/260/280s.
Yesterday there was a guy outside of Harris Teeter (grocery store) who said "Hey, you need valet? just drop the keys here " |

When I first bought mine, I drove it to a place where a bunch of my friends were. The first thing one of them said to me was: "I hate you."
I took it as a compliment. |
