WOW, that note is super cool and your 240 is jaw dropping shika805
I think daily whenever I'm stopped or walking back to my car, someone will compliment me on the car etc Sometimes its even whats not said thats flattering, like just driving and having people rubber neck, thumbs up or stare as they go by...my other half witnessed this yesterday and she was like "Seriously?? you love this don't you!?" Me: "yes...yes I do" :) |

I have covered parking off the street in San Francisco (rare and expensive). One day the lady above my parking spot had a water leak and the drywall above my stall began to melt.
An older woman who has the spot a few down from me came knocking at my door and said: "Hey Cliff, I have been totally lusting after your awesome car, but its about to get all messed up. I parked out in the street so you can use my spot till they fix the leak. you can lend me the keys sometime to thank me" (FAT CHANCE! lol) Wow. 1. Totally cool neighbor to come warn me and help me keep the sludge off my hood. 2. No, before you ask (perverts) she is not hitting on me. Nor is she a "Cougar" 3. What a cool complement that she was willing to battle the street parking to help out my 370. |

And you say most never make it out? I did some volunteer work for the Samaritans..a suicide prevention organization and as part of my training I had to go to an AA meeting but not let anyone there know my true purpose was training not treatment.. I will NEVER forget the stories the people told in front of the group about what alcohol had done to them once it took over their lives.. unbelievable how some had so much and lost it all...but I suspected there was something deep in their psyches and drug addiction was their way of coping with it.. Very sad..but glad to see some here have broken the addiction.. I think everyone should see Intervention on the Learning Channel..you can talk all you want to people but only when you actually see drug addiction do you really realize its horrors.. My son ran away when he was 14 and lived for two months among the crackheads..he tells of people getting down on their knees crying and begging the dealer and hugging his calves for just a bit more and being told to get the money any way they can..and they did......,.and once seeking three guys smoking meth...suddenly they run out and turn on each other after accusing each other of holding out on the other...then they got down in the carpet carefully searching for the slightest bit more.. He never got hooked and his kid has been well instructed on the dangers of even the slightest bit of drugs... |

What the hell was I thinking, I will never know..But I don't know many who just stop and move on to a very successful life..I am one of the lucky one's.. In the last ten years, I bought a Home, Cars, funded retirement, ect...My priorities have changed from getting high, to living like i should have been. Tough to share this, but the truth is the truth, and I have to stand in the truth..They say that it is "one day a a time"..not for me... I am so done with that life, I don't ever want to go back..No more addictions, except cars, making money, and enjoying life...:tiphat: Oh and being a posting whore...Almost 1000 |
Thanks to all of you for the kind words..
