S-Mode Not Coming Back On
I've got a 2010 370Z with the Sports package and I just installed the Stillen Gen 3 intake. Everything went smoothly. After I connected the MAF and the battery I noticed that the S-mode and the hazard lights would not come on (windows reset worked fine).
Has anyone had this happen to them? I've tried to search for an answer but I'm not finding anything. Everything else seems fine. The car doesn't seem to be in limp mode, oil temp looks a little high but it was 95 today, cruise control and all the other electronics seems to working fine. I went back and disconnected the battery again and let the car rest for 20 minutes before connecting it back and tried again, but I still had the same issue. I can only think of two things that where out of the ordinary. 1. I replaced the shifter and start button a couple months back so maybe I didn't get everything back in properly and didn't have to use the hazard lights or turn off the S Mode (who would do that). So I wouldn't notice that the S Mode button was either blocked or disconnected. 2. I didn't have time to reset the windows before a softball game to night and rolled the windows down a little before I left the car. I looked the where I had the windows and didn't like it very much so I adjusted them without turning on the car fully on but forgot to turn the car completely off. So the car set in the parking lot for about an hour with its lights on. When I left I finally noticed this but the car started up fine. The S Mode was not coming on before I was stupid with the battery though. Any help will be awesome. |
You need to re-seat the shifter plastic pieces. It's keeping the buttons from coming all the way up.

I'm 99.9% sure that what happened in your case |
Either that or you disconnected the harness and didn't reconnect it... does the buttons spring back up easily or do they feel like they are stuck down?

itd be funny if he's pressing down the hazards all this time. :icon17:
huh? ohh~~~ |
 Fail!!!!
I didn't connect the wires back when I changed switched to the GTR start button. But the silver lining is that I didn't need my hazard lights for six months. |
Glad you found the problem and it was an easy fix!
