window roll up from remote?
I know there is a module that will roll the windows up, but I have noticed that when I roll them down after a while the windows are just all the sudden back up... Any ideas how this is happening?

Anyone know if there is a way to adjust this? |
I guess disabling the relocking after the door not being opened within a few minutes would work too.. is that possible?

Ok so after pulling off the door panel I noticed I have no window up module. I just assumed I had one since I can get the windows to go up with the remote, but no such luck. Anyone have any idea how this thing is putting up the windows?
|
You are making the assumption that the module has to be inside of the door panels... it technically could be somewhere further down the wire harness.
I checked their site and they don't seem to have a programable options (only 2 locks) so maybe you have another brand roll-up. I know other companies make a similiar module that may work differently. |
I looked behind the speaker and in the drivers side kick panel. I am running out of ideas of where this thing could be hidden. Is it at all possible to do this without that module? I need to know I am not looking for something that may not exist.

wait is this even possible? I know that you can roll them down holding the unlock button but never knew you can roll them up??

Does this module to roll the windows back up have to be purchased separately?
|
I would guess it might be near the BCM in the passenger kick panel? That controls the other window functions so all the wiring needed is already right there.
The dealer can change the auto lock time to up to five minutes, but I don't see an ability to disable the auto lock completely. |

Check the other door... I talked to someone about this (actually plan on ordering one myself) and they said it just has to be wired to a lock because it is based off the function of holding the key in the lock position (which rolls our windows up). This means it probably can be on either panel or even any hard lock lead. |

OK, so just installed my polk audio components and in the process had my door panels, kick panels, and half the carpet removed. Ran new speaker wire under the dash and hid it in every nook and cranny. With that being said, the window roll up module is no where to be found....
So... Is this possible to have these roll up WITHOUT a module like the KP technologies one? |

Sick I wanna try mine now ASAP when I get home.

OK so months later and I still have no idea what is causing these windows to roll up... Is there any wiring tricks that can make this happen without a module?

Did you ever figure anything out on this? Have you noticed it happening after it rains or anything like that? It is possibly you have a short in the key cylinder that is causing the wire to ground, thus making the BCM think your key is in and turned.
And to correct something that was said above, the KPtechnologies module HAS to be installed in the drivers door as it has to interface with the drivers door key cylinder. It will NOT work in the passenger door or in the drivers kick panel. |

This happened to me actually 2 occurences. Once when I roll up window, the window rolls itself down halfway and another I roll my windows down then rolls itself up halfway.. both after I mesed with my dash. Just reset my windows and didn't bother looking more into it.
