car radar?

One other question for anyone...can those laser pointers the kids have set a laser detector off just as if it were a police trap?

The other day I was driving on 195 toward Fall River and was doing about 85..I came to a bridge and there was a cop waiting hidden right underneath it. He hit me with the radar but incredibly, some other car passed me at just that instant...He took off after him...my lucky day!!

One of the detectors inputs to the internet where it picks up laser speed traps and then that info is pushed to other identical detectors. This would be a big help if the info is disseminated fast enough. Would require cellular or satellite data connections, perhaps through cellphone feed? I don't have all the details. The benefit would depend upon sufficient numbers of users on the highway. If same info could be disseminated for radar speed traps, then we might have a near-perfect system. Except in Virginia...where I live...

Yeah, it's the passport 9500iX with this other cord that plugs into your iPhone... It's completely worthless because unless EVERYONE is using it, it's a waste of another like $50 for the cable... And passport should give them for free... If they did, and started giving old customers free replacements, then yeah, it'd be ok

I have a BS beltronics V995 but it works awesome. Saved me from getting many a ticket. I pick up lasers about 1 to 2 miles away. Ka band. Wow. I pick those up like 5 to 7 miles away on the highway. I actually have to wait for the signal to get fairly strong to slow down cuz at 2 miles I'm picking them up wild on Ka on a highway.

Here in texas. The majority of street cops run ka while highways usually run LADAR... also rural areas run Ka. Which makes it great for me. Ka on the street is a shorter range than highway. On the street, I can get them at 1-2 miles

I'm considering upgrading to the redline. I hear the range on those is even longer.
