Nitrogen tire PSI?
So I just had a patch done on one of my tires and they also filled all 4 with nitrogen. I know Nissan recommends 35psi cold, but is that taking into account expansion when hot? If so, should my nitrogen tires be higher than the cold 35psi recommendation since nitrogen doesn't expand?

hmm never thought of that. probably not enough to worry about over filling. previous owner had nitrogen in mine. going with good ol fashion air this time around tho

yah, 35psi air is on the comfy side. usually on a hot summer day 35psi can go as high as 40psi with sprited driving.
i think with nitrogen i would use something in the middle like 38psi cold. i dont have a nitrogen tank at home and i like to have flexibility to adjust my psi at home, so i just use air. i use 37.5psi on both my Z and G cold (air) as i like to have firmer ride. |

If they patched it and didn't plug it and it was center tread I wouldn't worry... if it was plugged and/or close to the sidewall you may want to consider replacing. If you ever see them patch it, they usually seal it pretty tightly. It is still a weakness though so you have to use some sound judgement.

Think I'll go back and have them adjust it to 38 psi or so. My tires got up to 40-41 when hot with air so that's in the middle.
