To shorten the clutch peddle so its a shorter distance to engage the gear or motion too engaging the gear? instead of traveling the stock distance?

You will get used to it...I agree.
Oh, a friend pulled the Miata sticker off his and it said Tonka under it...I think you can adjust the clutch belt from the bottom driver's side. ![]()

you cant shorten the engagement point as far as I know, but you can shorten the travel.
