I personally don't think the mods are the problem, the price is. Either way it will probably cost you a decent amount to return to stock and your still going to have to drop the price anyway. My advice is to just keep it the way it is and drop the price. I would go to 17k or best offer and see how that goes. After a couple weeks is still nothing then drop to 16500. At that point if still no offers take it to carmax. The problem is your trying to sell a sports coupe in the middle of a tough economic time. People right now aren't buying fun cars and are buying more practicle cars. If you want to move the car you're going to have to drop the price to entice someone. Lastly, my friend bought an 05 G35 manaul tranny 2 yrs ago and he only paid 16700 for his. So again, I really think your asking price is just a bit too high.
I tried selling my 280z last year and quickly realized I was going to have to take a really low offer to get rid of it. Wasn't worth it to me so I still have it. It's not really a good time to try and unload sports cars. |

I figured 18,900 was a fair negotiable price given the blk/blk combo and lower mileage. I saw a bunch listed much higher than mine so I figured my price was decent. It is one of the lowest listed on Autotrader last time I checked.

No offense, but if you are dead set on holding on your current course of action selling your car then why did you bother asking our advice?
Secondly, you originally posted that you weren't getting any offers or interest in your car. This was in the first sentence of your post. Now your saying you just got an offer for 17500. So which is it? Also if you want 18k and you got an offer for 17500 you really should have just taken it. Is $500 really worth the hassle of continuing to worry about selling your car and delaying getting into a 370z like you want? Lastly, yes, the price your asking may be fair but your asking why the car isn't getting loads of offers and calls. If you want your choice of people bidding on your car and loads of calls coming in you have to drop the price. Simple as that. If you want a fair/high price for your car then you will have to be patient and wait for the right buyer to come along looking for a blk/blk combo with some simple mods. This could take weeks or months. You want to sell something fast drop the price, otherwise it just takes time. so which is it, patience or money? |

FS: 2006 G35 Coupe w/ HKS Hipermax III Coilovers - G35Driver And you only posted it for 2 weeks? I posted it for 2 monthes! Guess what, only 2 people on the forum asked me about the car. Both of them wanted the stock bodykits and stock rims. So you see what I did? I parted out everything. Got 3-4k just for the parts and STILL selling the stock g35 at the same price I posted. And now, I can go sale them everywhere and get more people interested. Here is the thing, only people in certain group(like on the g35 forum) will interested in modified G35. But those people are prefer 6MT. For majority of people out there will prefer a stock car. Even people like me would prefer to get a stock car to begin with. Coz I have my own choises on mods and I don't want to get a half baked project car. As for the price, I do think $19k is bit too high. $18k is more reasonable to start with. Also try to put back the stock rims to make it look legit and tell people you have extra set of rims for winter. Or sell the aftermarket rims after you sell the car. This is what I am doing now. And the last not the least, don't try to bump your FS thread on top of my FS thread over there!!! Naw, just kidding.:P Good luck with your sales! |

Ok, 1 offer up until today after 2-3 weeks after it was on sale. At the time 17.5 was below what I wanted. A few weeks ago, when that 17.5 was put out there, I wanted at least 19k, but after a few weeks, I realized that was too far fetched. But now I have faith in getting at least 18-18.5 with no problems. And $500 is $500. It can be worth a lot to many people.
Honestly, I thought I was going to get much more interest on the car and even my friends couldn't believe it. So I was scratching my head and decided to ask around. I wanted advice for ways to get more attention and seeing if selling it as stock would be better. Many people are saying I can get a bigger audience and make more money if I sold it stock and the mods separately. This is advice that I did not really take for granted up until now. Quote:

I see. Thanks for sharing your experience. We got similar tastes and needs. Time to get rid of our 5ATs and for me to get a white 6mt 370z like you! haha. GLWS!

Put it in autotrader. Ads cost very little.
Also, check with KBB (and other similar listings) to make sure your price is reasonable.
