There are roughly 30 frames per sec and the stock speedo reads 1-2mph high too. You got to have some great eyes to calculate 0-60 time. This is not even adding the curve of the road too

With a 0-60 of under 5 seconds a Z is no slouch. Start pushing it and you might feel differently. The car will need to learn your new driving habits post break in. Come back in a month and see if you feel the same.
Oh and keep your AC off when "pushing" it.

I find the Z to be drastically different under varied temps. Summer temps it bogs down like crazy...
50's to 70's weather i extract way more acceleration out of it. mid humid 40's weather does well, but 30's and below it begins to re-bog itself. another factor... Tires, tires and tires. you only get great performance out the stockers, the first 5000 miles. After that, its average. Also, the intake must be modified for increased response time. it helps slightly. With perfect shifting you can pull some good times. At least out the auto .And no, you wont shift perfectly every time. Not even in full auto. You can even here the car make mistakes sometimes in D. |

I'm a little late getting back to this, but I'm actually surprised my comment was noticed. I wasn't trying to knock the 370 at all. I'm on here because I love the car, not to bash it. I chose differently for my own reasons, but I'm still a Nissan fan.
In response to my car not keeping up with my brother's, I wanted to share some 0-60 times from the same source, both from Road and Track on each car. If you look at the results in this test, they tested the Cobalt SS sedan at 5.4 0-60, and that's a little heavier than my coupe: A Time for Turbos: Chevrolet Cobalt SS - Comparison Test - RoadandTrack.com In this test, they tested the Nismo 370Z at 5.0 seconds 0-60: The Best Production Drift Car - Full Comparison Test with Road Test Data at RoadandTrack.com I would say, especially given that neither my brother nor I could launch his car without having the TCS come on and spoil the fun a bit, there's no reason not to say that his automatic 370Z will usually be ahead of me, but not always. Torque steer and understeer are not a huge concern on my car. Sometimes in first and second it will pull the wheel on a rough road, but hard shifts and full power on a smooth road don't do it. In the turns it has the balance of an AWD car and doesn't push when I go full power. The 370Z, however, always felt to me like it wanted to kick the tail end out and required a lot more throttle modulation in corners. Granted, this is fun, but didn't inspire much confidence for me the way my car does. As for exterior styling, um, sports car vs. economy car. That's not really debatable. I like that mine blends in, besides the park bench on the trunk. If you guys really want to trash my car, let's talk interiors. I have great seats in it, but the rest of the car is pretty much base Cobalt. Cheap plastic, I can't get the trim to stay on my sunroof switch to save my life, poor fit and finish all around. The 370Z, however, has a really nice interior, definitely on par with most cars twice its price. Nice leather, great styling on the dash, intuitive layout, and nice materials all around. My only two gripes are that the sound system was kind of weak, and the fuel gauge would never show full!! Neither of those are reality interior complaints anyway. Actually one more complaint, how come my Cobalt came with Bluetooth standard, and the 370Z didn't? Even with the sport package, his didn't have it, and being that my standard response when I get stuck in traffic is to call somebody and chat, no Bluetooth drove me nuts in his car. |

Bluetooth is not necessary in a z. You should be driving it not talking.
; and then listening to beautiful exhaust notes not your mother on the phone Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2

And about the radio...Because most people who buy a 370(or me any car I buy) TEAR THE RADIO OUT BECAUSE IT SUCKS OR just turn it off and listen to her purrrr!!! Besides my aftermarket bluetooth functionality sounds much nicer, with the stock bluetooth I would turn it all the way up and it wasn't loud enough, with the Kenwood, it's niiiiice
