how much hp will a intake and exhaus give me
 

i have a stock 370z looking to get a intake and exhaust anyone got any good gains from them?

depends on maker exc..each will claim they produce such and such numbers but i dont really pay attention to that.

my Stillen Gen 3 intakes claim to belt out an addional 17.5 HP gains

and it really depends on your preference, what do you like (make wise) me? im a stillen guy , some prefer GTM and others

I thought a 370z comes with intakes & exhaust.

Tires wheels seatbelt and seats are sold seperately. -__-

Do some searching. There are lots of threads on each product mentioned, some have dyno charts.

Off the top of my head, best HP gains from exhaust are from: F.I. (fast intentions), HKS, and ARK.

I suggest going to a meet-up and trying to hear some different ones in person as YouTube does them no justice. HKS sounds good but is over $2k, where as the F.I. sounds better (in my opinion - and i've heard them side by side) and is over $1k cheaper...

I got the stillen gen 3 and stillen cat back exhaust. Note is good and gains can be felt, torqu curve is MUCH smoother. If you buy stillen wait for a sale though, otherwise you will get the shaft...

fi cbe + stillen cai gave me around 20 and uprev gave me another 12 on top of that

Ok, well since we are on the subject..... I was looking at the Fast Intentions, and was wondering if anyone bothers with the 12' or 18' resonated xpipe..... or if everyone gets the straight xpipe.

How about the cat delete from them? Does anyone prefer the resonated test pipe over the straight test pipe?

Also been shopping around for a CAI..... I have a cai on my mustang, and after tuning.... the cai was pretty much a waste of money... meaning.... i got good gains by the cai alone, and good gains by the tune alone, but when you put them together, the HP doesnt add up... together i only got a gain of about 2 hp.... so im not really a believer in cai's, but stillens gen 3 seems to have AWESOME placement..... right behind the radiator its probably the coldest place on the car, so i will probably be looking into that with an uprev tune.


Also, why is shipping from fast intentions so high? Are they not in the US? Is there a different place to order them from, or are they manufacturer direct?
