Which auto finesse products did you use to get your paint to this condition?

Great pics by the by!
The last stage protection used is AF Passion. For the full details refer to my correction thread, 370z - Correction detail (picture heavy)

You can PM me with your desired results and I can help with product choice. There are many great products out there, you don't need to stick with Auto Finesse, although Auto Finesse is to me what Michelin PSS is to Mr.onzedge.

wow, nice work on that thread, mr.gale!

so i did some tests tonight on my DSLR using raw + jpeg (fine). basically wanted to simulate over exposure... typical issue i run into while taking picts of my silver car in the sun. used my digital piano keys and flash snapped at f/1.8 closeup. the white keys were all blended together due to over exposure, but the black keys looked great.

with RAW: i was able to recover the lines between the white keys without affecting the black keys.

with jpeg: i could not

i dont get many tries to take car picts (i dont have time to redo) so i think having raw files as backup will give me insurance just in case my shots are over exposed.

Tires = $
PSS = $$
Wheels = $$$

So you sugest that I spend $$$$$!!!!! I might end up that route but maybe just $$ on the PSS.

After doing the fluids and taking a brief break I did a quick waterless wash on her and put the 40th cover on as I can not drive until I get the tires/wheels situation fixed and I am leaving to Jamaica for a 8 day vacation on Tuesday anyway. Don't want her to get all dusty while I am out.

Thank you sir

RAW + jpeg is a safe bet. I do the same unless it's studio work then I shoot RAW.

Blurgh!!

My garage door will not open completely. It stops 1/2way through.

I can manually open it and I don't feel excessive resistance at any point in the process, but with the opener it's a no go.
I've checked all the wheels, and none of them look to be even remotely binding..
I've checked the center track where the screw drive is....nothing..
I've checked the springs..nothing seems out of order....

Don't know what to check now.

This was happening to me a while back as well. It turned out that the top edge of the garage door was touching the trigger sensor when it went past it rather than missing it and having the follower hit it like intended. I just had to provide some additional clearance....aka hit it with a hammer. Works great now.

I'll check that! Thanks for the suggestion! I've got a rubber mallet with the garage doors' name writ all over it!
