A word of advice, use a hot water bottle to ease the cramps.

I do my fair share of e-commerce too. I would easily do 99% as well if I lived in the US. As far as the Z goes, everything had been ordered from the US using the interwebz. Just today I received my carbon fang cover... Still looking for a bodyshop.

hope you find a good body shop soon. is the fang cover from thezstore? (does it have the little vertical lip where it meets the car's vents?) if it's the evo-r one you will need to paint a little bit of the silver as it peeks out. also the bottom portion will need to be cut by about 1.5" if you have the front sport diffuser installed.

Yes it's from theZstore. There are vertical lips around the fangs, is that the EVO-R one? I assumed it was EVO-R and reluctantly bought it because I thought they were the only one available. I will be modding it (cutting it up) to fit my mines lip. My sport lp is sitting in the corner of my garage now. I've been thinking about donating it.

the one with the vertical lip is not the evo-r one and that should be ready to install.

indeed with the mine's front lip i believe you will need to cut the cf fang and put resin to make them match up. i recommend even painting it black and then respray over at the very end with clearcoat.

hummm... so shall i get a second small camera to aim at the cluster for my in-car vids (picture in picture via imovie) or shall i leave it as-is and get myself a 35mm f/1.8 prime for my D3100?

Good to know I didn't gt the EVO-R fangs. thanks for the good advice on the installation. I'll need to source out some epoxy resin now... Do they still use epoxy resin for carbon fiber? That's what I used back in the day when I was fabricating with CF.

I would get 2 more GoPro cameras, one for the cluster, one in the cabin looking out, and one mounted low on the outside filming the front wheels, or filming behind you. Ok, maybe you need three more cameras.

Ordered my 20mm spacers.

i would check online which resins are recommended for CF. since it's black cf it shouldn't matter but dont want it to get cloudy or anything.

oh man... hahahaha!!

mr.happy- on the 20mm.

From what I understand, epoxy resins are less prone to clouding compared to polyester resins which are used in cheaper applications.

The epoxy resins I've used have held up without a hitch. I bought a few yards of twill weave CF and epoxy resin just to play around with. My first project was a replacement handle for our dryer when the cheap stock handle cracked. A problem I found was common on this particular Kenmore Elite after a little research. (I also found that most home appliance complaints came from women who repeatedly broke their equipment by forcibly opening the doors once they had locked closed, and then subsequently called for class-action lawsuits against the manufacturer.)

Clothes dry 20% faster now.
