From another perspective, I think people who put phony badges on cars like my Z/28, or "clone" them is madness also..
Back in my day, if you did not have the real thing, why badge and stripe it like it is the real deal.. The fairlady thing, I do not know enough about...

Apple has got to be the strangest stock I have ever seen.
lol at troll post If you're just talking about the kids who rice the **** out of their cars, I'm pretty sure everyone feels the same way. This is from the random album photo on the main page. Made me sad.

10K into Mcdonalds in 1990 would be 500K right now...
Also a hedge of 15% in gold since then would make you retired early.. True you gotta pick your winners, but I just high jacked the thread to apologize to 370Z purist and get him thinking about what he will do with his motivation and go for it attitude... because it isn't what you make, it is what you keep and what you do with it, and he sounds motivated... sorry for the high jack..Money gets me excited.. Also I don't own apple, and facebook...end of non car posting...

I just want to engineer something great... and then open a mechanic's shop. That is my life goal. Enough for me.

I don't like the "Fairlady" badge personally but if someone puts it on their car and likes it I really don't see the problem. Now I have seen people put the NISMO bage on non NISMO cars and I think that's just stupid. I hated when people put AMG badges on their non AMG Mercedes-Benz. I don't care if you put AMG rims on it's not an AMG car, same goes for NISMO IMO.

This seems like a silly thing to get upset about. Again, the Fairlady badge is a shout out to the Japanese version, not claiming to be one. And it's not like Japanese Fairlady's are in any way significantly better.
People get upset about the stupidest things. If you like the Fairlady badge, get one. If not, then don't. |

The first car the be named the Fairlady wasn't a Z at all it was a Datsun Sports model the 1200. The Fairlady name was a reference to the Broadway musical My Fair Lady. Which by the way wasn't written in Japan. So the name really doesn't belong solely to the people of Japan or the Z.

Actually, if you're totally serious about getting a FairladyZ badge, then you should convert to RHD, get even more emissions friendly, and also put a limiter on your car at 155kmh (is that the Japan limit?).

Now you are feeling me. Just like the nismo badges on VW beetles (see the key to naming a car that doesnt have your trim level or anything close to it is to name a car that is NOTHING like what you are talking about...see? In this case a VW beetle would be a super base model 18" wheel having, cassette tape playin...no tint, square wheels...LAME *** Z!!!)
If those with nismo badges make you wanna choke someone, because they have no nismo bits, then how is seeing Fairlady badges on a left hand drive car gonna make me feel? you only need ONE DAMN PART!!! a steering wheel on the RIGHT SIDE! Anything absent that and yes..you are a poser... And to the cat with the YOU MAD BRO picture...IM HELLA MAD BRO! (playing MW3 right now actually!)
