Default Front Bumper Sticker Protector?

I was waxing my Z today and noticed that as i moved to where the front bumper meets the front quarter panel, I noticed the edges of what appears to be some kind of clear sticker that dissolves into the paint somewhere? Is this some kind of factory clear protector for the bumper or what? I can clearly see the lines of this thing when the bumper comes up into the quarter panel because this "sticker" appears to end at the top of the bumper before the front quarter???

Maybe you hit a rectangular bug?

Sorry - I'm no help...

I guess its a clear bra? I just checked the sticker from my car and it has all the options i added but nothing about a clear bra. Its just really weird that I didnt notice it until last night. Is this clear bra a good thing or a bad thing? Can it be waxedover like normal paint with my meguiars wax i use?

no waxing needed...only use clear bra cleaners.

it's a good thing, protects the paint from road chips...and good for road trips also...no chips and no bugs can damage the paint now
