How to put on wing/spoiler
If i were to buy a sport package spoiler from a member on the forum is there a way to put it on without drilling? I don't want to drill holes in my new baby.

If you want it to stay on no...:shakes head:

On my Mercedes, I just attached the RENNtech spoiler with 3M automotive tape. Never had an issue in over 100,000 miles. Did the same thing on my mom's 300 and it never came offf - and that one was just 3 legs.

Let me know how you are going to do this, I just bought a spoiler for my car too.

You can use 3M double sided tape if drilling isn't an option.

Hmmm... I'm not so sure that it would actually be imposing any downward force on the rear end if not properly mounted to the rear hatch with hardware. You can get a template for the holes if you are worried about poor drilling...

if the wing is small enough vhb will work. i installed a small lip on my G's trunk like 8yrs ago... no issue.

oh, and my G is my summer time dd.. so has gone through rain :D.. and one season of snow :ugh:

OP I remembered seeing this thread in the DIY section for the spoiler template.
http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...who-wants.html Might be useful if you decide you need to drill instead of tape |
The guy never answered me. I wanted to get it form him and then make copies to be available to members.
|
That would be super cool (toy). Maybe it can be done as a pdf that members can print out + tape so you don't have to make copies.
