i had the 06 gt and test drove an '11 5.0 before deciding the z is the way to go. passenger carry is a problem...sort of. I took my dad and brother with me to get the Z. We took the stang cause I was trading it in. So now we had 3 people and a 2 seater. put my 6 foot brother in the Z trunk and drove home. no kidding, worked like a charm

Test drove a 2012 GT. Nice car, nothing bad to say about it, good power and handling. Just liked the looks and feel of the 370Z better, so ordered a 2013. Hope you find the right car for you!

The only one thing i regret about the Z is not having a small 3rd seat for my 1 year old son...we have a 2012 Optima Turbo for family outings but sometimes i wish we could take the Z out as a family..but not possible..only good for me,dates with the wife(rare occasion with 1 year old),thats why i look forward to one day getting a GTR,wife in the front, son in a Recaro in the back...family roadtrips on a monthly basis

(i'm generalizing of course, but around here, thats what mustang drivers are...) I agree with the handling statement. fast and quick are 2 very different things, and the 370 is the latter because of how deceptively smooth it is. It cant really be explained but driving this after driving the mustang I would never go back, this car is really more refined. Not to prattle on but you will want the Z after trying it, it like comparing a DONZI to an outrigger. Trust...

Changing question. What didn't u like about the 11 stang?

I own to of the three cars you mentioned. Have the Z and the G37. Big difference between the two cars. The Z is a true sports car. The G is more refined in every sense and I do not get the sport feel as a result. The interior of the G is more bmw-ish, less sporty but clean and detailed. The Z's interior has a true sport feel to it. You feel snug inside. The G feels softer and not as tight as the Z in handling. The Z feels more precise and agile on the corners. As for the Mustang, I see a lot of them on the street with bright colors. It is a common vehicle given the numbers sold and I've seen many of them on the street.

The same thing that "I" (personal preferance) feel is wrong with all of the mustangs, the idea that there is no replacement for displacement. I guess thats the american way, big, heavy, and powerful. Dont get me wrong, I loved both of the mustangs (torque and gear ratios are perfect) and it flies like a rocket. but rockets can only go so far in a straight line until you need to turn. '11 has made huge jumps up from the 06 in terms of supspension, but its still very long and very nose heavy. every time I cornered I felt like my *** was gonna tail out behind me, and in alot of cases it did, with me in a ditch in one incident. though partly my bad driving ). A boxer will never be able to beat a Jeet-kun do practitione, just wont happen. In the same way, the Z is less about raw power and more about speed, agility, and finesse. Like Ive said before, this car is incredibly smooth, and that is what leads to its immense speed. For the price there is really not much that can stand up to it. I like that alot eventually it stops being about straight lines and starts being about the whole picture. just my 2ct.

Like I said, its about the whole picture. If its all about racing for you, the mustang may be the way to go, much more forgiving in most race scenarios. However, If you want to be faster, get the Z.

Get a G37 Sport or Maxima SV Sport, both of them have somethings from the Z, you just got to compramize. G has the engine/underpinings in a bigger body. Max has a 4 door Z look and near identical Dash etc etc etc.... But getting 4 or 5 in either would be a challenge.

At the track, I hope.

And typically, yes.
