Yep, not to my liking either. Not a fan of the driving light placement.

YMMV

Actually nissan is breaking sales records. My gut tells me finances have little to nothing to do with it. The Z hasn't sold well since its first price hike in 2010. In 2010, the car went up by $1000 on the bottom, up by almost $2k on the top. Every year the Z goes up in price. It loses 1500 units in sales. I think its a value perception issue to be honest. The 350z sold well in the middle 20's to mid 30's. If you factor in inflation. the z would sell better in the 30k to 40k range. People would find it more reasonable than $33/34k to $46k

Yeah if the BRZ is outselling us 4 to 1??? Everyone brace yourself for hardcore depreciation. :(

Well, the BRZ/FR-S is a lot cheaper than the Z, so maybe that's why more sales?

Falling Dollar against the Yen = price hike

That trend has recently reversed. The dollar buys a little more versus the Yen than a year ago. At the moment the spread is the same as mid-2009.

The BRZ/FR-S has a larger potential pool of buyers and is the new hot thing. The 370z was only a small evolution from the 350z which is now pushing 10 years old.

I'm not trading that's for sure. I have the car that I want.

final #'s for 2012 came out today.

406 Z's sold in Dec 2012

the 370z had 7,338 units sold in 2012 up just 10 cars total from 7,328 in 2011.
hey at least its consistent

interesting thread. Especially the chart that shows how it stacks up against other cars in that demographic. i hadnt seen the FRS BRZ #'s before. Im not surprised to see the face lift didnt have an impact on sales. At this point it sort of is what it is with the Z34 platform

I just did a year end GTR sales analysis for NAGTROC. so you guys think 400 a month is low..here is some perspective

GTR Intel

If you would of asked me before I saw these numbers I would of said between 2 & 4 thousands units a year. I love the fact that you don't see yourself coming or going in the Z, I have only seen 2 more blue 370s since 09 in Louisville.

What bugs me out though is that Nissan somehow thought the refresh would bring more appeal to the car and boost sales.

Old old and very expensive Corvette C6 out sold 370z 3 to 1 in December.

Nissan 370z sold 669 units in March 2013 vs 1,095 in March 2012. that is a 38.9% decline in sales vs a year ago. :shakes head:

usually March April and May show a large boost in sales for the Z. I would have thought with the 0% incentives. We would have followed our normal trend.

Overall, Nissan has a U.S. best sales ever for March 2013.

Not a good sign. One thing I haven't seen anybody mention is the lack of marketing from Nissan for the Z. Saw a Nissan ad on tv recently that had every vehicle they make except the Z and GT-R. The project 370Z ad in Car and Driver this month is the first marketing of any kind I have seen for the Z in a long time.

Cool, I'm one of only 669 in 13' and given I bought it on the 29th, I might have been the last one....like the number 69 in any variation :rofl2: :driving:

Wow...

Maybe nissan should start giving out plaques for that. :ughdance:

I love these type of threads...between this and the production numbers per color, etc. makes me happy.

Nissan 370Z Production Statistics

It still only lists 33 other cars built like mine.
