Nissan 370z for 28K good deal? 4800 miles. HELP Please!
Hey guys, I have been lurking around this forum for a while and have now decided to post. I found a 2011 Nismo Nissan 370z for 28,000$. It is a CPO. This will be my first car purchase and unsure what to make of it. I think this car is priced way too low, right? Additionally I checked its VIN number and according to CARFAX there is 10 History Records...whatever that means. I have yet to pay for the CARFAX report. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: Forgot to mention this car has only 4800 miles on it.
Thanks! |

That price is maybe for a 2009 base w/sport Pkg. or a misprint on the ad.

Based on the VIN number, CarFax says its a 2011 NISSAN 370Z. I can tell this 370z has synchrorev based upon the pictures.
On the CarFax report what should I look for? What will make the 370z a terrible buy? Sorry, I am new at this and honestly don't know too much about purchasing a car. |

That Z may have a difficult time finding a buyer for a high price if you decide to sell because it's
1) highly impracticable 2) nothing special other than sport package 3) competition on other cars in the used car market. Check the tires, hopefully it's still oem and very plenty of tread left to see how much the previous owner has pushed the car.

You say a Nismo for 28k and 4,800 miles, that's awesome deal. But don't go by advertisements, until you speak to a person who is selling the car and you talk numbers, nothing is quite real. Sometimes they just try to lure you in and rape you.

If it is from a dealership, contact them and ask for the carfax... unless I am mistaken you have not provided any pictures or links so how could we tell you if it is really a Nismo?
If that all checks out, the price is amazing. 10 records does not mean accidents or problems... changes of ownership, registration, inspection, services, and yes accidents are all "reported" on a carfax. They just give you a numerical figure to get you enticed to purchase the report. |

If it is truly a CPO at a Nissan dealership it would not have a salvage title. They won't certify a salvage although OP has done little to help himself in this case. You are asking a forum to make assumptions... bring us some evidence. Buy the carfax or ask the dealership. If it is truly a Nismo you are def going to lose it at this price while you wait for our advice.

After doing some due diligence I have figured out it is not a nismo. However I can tell that it has synchrorev, which leads me to believe it has the sports package. In the posted pics from the dealerships it says fairlady Z on the rear end of the car, not 370z. Any thoughts on why?
