2nd gear
its seems here lately that when i shift into second and give the Z some gas,,she feels extra sluggish, like almost delayed... any thoughts??
|
heat and humidity maybe?
|
what rpm are you shifting from first at? or are you referring to downshifting from third?
SRM on or off? |
be funny if he's shifting into 4th.. lol
|
2nd is the party gear so that should definitely not be the case, unless like stated above you are shifting into it at very low RPM.
If you are in 2nd gear around 3k rpm and it feels slow, then there is definitely an issue. |
SEMI LOW RPM's, ill look on my way home from work
|
the ecu will learn to save gas if you've been driving slow. try applying wider throttle intensionally in 2nd and the ecu will learn after a few times. it might help your case.

Humidity sucks the life out of engines... then heat eats their soul... together they murder performance slowly but surely
|
You could re-set the ECU by disconnecting the battery. Just remember to read up on how to re-set the windows.

Does the traction control light blink? When you shift from first to second in a turn and the RPMs are too low, the Z will sense the car "slipping" and activate the traction control. The "sluggish" feeling could possibly be the traction control slowing down the spin of your wheels. You can try shifting at a higher RPM and don't shift in the middle of a turn. |
That seems strange. Definitely check it out again and confirm it.

ECU tune with fan control enabled + oil cooler = Problems solved.
|
..until fan prematurely dies.

Because humidity and hot air wont still be sucked into the intake anymore? |
