Was this a stupid move or am i paranoid

My dealer recently offered me like $200 for 4 oil changes (or something like that) and its the ester oil) so that is not bad at all IMHO. So far the ester oil has been working good for me as my 2010' has 40k miles on it and doesn't burn a drop.

B/c is has ester oil in it ,I didn't check to see if it does but I use it.

They used regular Mobil1?? I woulda smacked the shi* out of him.

We've been using Redline 5/30, which is both synthetic and ester. No problems at all. Temperature never gets above 230.
