Envirotabs?

I work with a buddy, who happens tobe a car guy as well, and he has been using these "Envirotabs" by Green Foot Global. They are little pills you add to your gas tank at every fill up. He has noticed all positive things such as an increase in mileage and in power as well. Was wondering if anyone here has used them. They sound kinda cool and all the info I have found online seems good with no downsides.

onzedge 05-24-2012 10:20 AM

This seems a little fishy. Alka-seltzer tabs do interesting things also.

kenchan 05-24-2012 10:34 AM

we use a pint of water instead.

disclaimer- this is a joke.

UNKNOWN_370 05-24-2012 11:25 AM

Seen these @ the store... I dunno about this? I hate adding crap to my tank. Lol no pun intended.

kenchan 05-24-2012 11:27 AM

one should taste it before entering fuel tank.

disclaimer- not to be taken literally.

UNKNOWN_370 05-24-2012 11:29 AM

What if the tabs are a misprint and they are really Enviral tabs? Will your car have an infection???:inoutroflpuke:

Yeah I second that... I am kinda anti additive... always worried about adverse affects short or long term.

Maybe drop a multi-vitamin in the gas tank also? Will make the engine healthy.

I tend to agree here. I've seen my plugs on multiple cars after running additives and you can see the impact on the plugs; discolors and grime etc.:shakes head:

I haven't really looked into it... but I'm thinking premium gas should be the only thing entering the tank. EnviroTab makes a claim about carbon building up in engines. If you have carbon building in your engine then you got other issues that a pill is not going to solve. If you are looking to add power then look to the mod section on this website. If you are looking to save on gas then sell the car and buy a moped. That EnviroTab is a scam. Save your money.

Or get a tune I've heard.

Increased gas mileage from a pill?:shakes head: It must increase the calorific value of the fuel, right?:ugh2:

I knew I would be getting some winning answers on this one!! At any rate, whether these work or not, you guys cant be crazy enough to think that if this WERE possible, the car companies would have done it a long time ago? Sure they would have....it's their sould purpose to help mankind and make OUR money go as far as it can, not the fact that they are in buisiness to make money! Dream on!! The only reason the US cars came back around was cause the Japanese inports were putting us outa biz baby, with our cleenex cars we were making back in the day!!

I remember a TV commercial for Olsmobile in like 1979ish, where they have a Cutlass and an Accord on the screen, and the guy says " Honda Accord, Japanese import......it's GOTTA get more miles per tankful than this Oldmobile cutlass right? But actually this Cutlass gets 120 miles more!! NOW which car do you wanna buy??" And how many morons went out and bought a Cutlass thinking they were getting more MPG than an Accord, not even realizing they said MILES PER TANKFUL and NOT per gallon! Honda had a 10 gallon tank versus the Cutlass' 20 gallon gas tank!!! Talk about deception in it's best form!!
:shakes head:

There was a car company that actually was making cars for the people, with all kinds of advancements and innovations, about 60 years ago or so, and the Big 3 put the squeeze on him and his company! Was Called Tucker!! Politics my boys!!......Politics!

If the drive lasts longer than that, you should call your doctor immediately.

If so then the you go to the track to wind it down, or some really good long spirited driving. Hopefully by doing either one of these you can knock off two hours.
