Need a good paint job in Los Angeles...

As the title says, I'm looking for someone to paint my car. I'm looking for a happy medium between the "My paint job is expensive enough that I could have bought a new compact!" and "The body shop I went to gets 99% of their money from doing quick turnaround jobs for rental car companies!" levels. In other words, I'd like to find a place that is at least somewhat geared towards enthusiasts, but is grounded enough to realize that I'm painting a Nissan, not a Ferrari.

I'm willing to drive about an hour from Los Angeles.

Auto Explosion in Gardena. One of the best shops around in terms of quality and their prices will beat anyone else around.

They are responsible for quite a few SEMA show cars, as well as quite a few shop demo cars.

Well, Auto Explosion stopped returning my emails as soon as I asked if they removed bumpers before spraying, and M1 got some pretty bad reviews on Yelp. Does anyone else have any recommendations?

Cheap paint jobs are never good and good paint jobs are never cheap.

I have sent cars to both M1 and DTM and both good places. They both work on SEMA cars. They paint tons of SEMA cars.

Wet works garage does awesome work also. They work on Stillen cars and looks amazing.
