The best mod I've done hands down. It became a different animal and I've driven many untuned 370s since then and felt so disappointed. For $500 I got 31whp, 5 maps and ride along tune to adjust a/f to improve mpg's while cruising. Uprev + VDC off = a whole lot of fun and a big stupid grin on my face

Do we buy the hardware and preform the tune ourselves? Or did most of you opt to send it in for tuning?..

You CAN do it yourself, but unless you really know what you're doing you'll want some professional help.. There are 2 ways to do it:

Go to a shop and have them dyno tune you, or buy the tuning software separate and have uprev adjust your tune with datalogs or your driving over email (etunes)

EDIT: Or buy the tuner version and do it yourself :p

Is it worth the money if I just have a cutback exhaust and drop in air filters and a red gt-r button ( :D )

I think its worth the money, but thats just me :p You could buy standard with the 3 etunes, get one now, then in the future when you get more mods get another etune update, etc... and you'll have a tuned car pretty much the whole time. Or you could get the tuner version and just tweak the A/F yourself after each new mod... once you have a base its not too difficult.

If you're going to get on a dyno however I would wait till you're done with bolt-on's.

Its not all about the HP increase. These cars with all those mods tend to run Lean. If you want to get the most out of the mods and keep the car running safe get a tune.

:iagree: gonna get my tune done soon.

some mild mods here too cat-back, filters+tubes. I'm getting an e-tune through R/T Tuning Speed Shop - $500. Added benefit of having the cable is I can run diagnostics, clear codes, reflash on my own, and the cable has good resale value. If you have a 7AT a Tuner can adjust your torque management tables + line pressure increased, fan speed (cooler oil temps), throttle response, AFR's, adjust to your specific type of gasoline.

If we had OpenECU availible we could save a bit of money there and have all the benefits except for maybe switching maps.

You'll love your car more after the tune

My car is scheduled to be at rt tuning to 30th I can't wait only a couple more days! From my research a tune is really worth it and it seems the Vince from rt is one of the best in the country with our cars

It was on the dyno for a few hours then we rode around with the laptop and made changes on the fly while cruising on light throttle.
