Thats freaking Awesome! Was that of a friend of yours? Or you have to pay to ride one?

My brother was invited to this Bugatti track event at Monticello, he took me with him. He was able to do a few laps in the Veyron with the Bugatti test driver. I went for a few laps as a passenger, and my god the feeling of that car, absolutely unreal. Was an amazing day.

So you switch out your pads for track days or are your hawk track pads on permanently and not eating up your rotors? Great post BTW.

Replaced OEM pads with Hawk HPS for street. Yes I swap out for track to HP+ but with the Sport brakes it is just a couple minutes a corner (plus I rotate tire after each event) I have read all the bad reviews about Hawk- but they work for me and my style of driving- feel very confident on track- stock rotors and virtually no wear at 40 K miles and a bunch of great track days. I do HPDE 3 and am right in the mix so do not think I am taking it easy on the track. I do it for fun so I am certainly not pushing everything to the extreme limit but 127 MPH on a short straight into a chicane at 70 mph should test any brakes.

I should also add ZERO oil consumption even after tracking and still rides like new.

I have a '09 Sports Touring 6MT.

After 3 yrs and 33k miles, the only time I stopped by the dealership was to replace the defective fuel sender unit, which resulted in a couple visits...

Other than that, the only money spent out of pocket besides gas and insurance are oil changes at 7,500 miles, cabin filter insert at 15k, engine air filter replacement at 30k, and Michelin Pilot Super Sports for the rear at 31k.

Front OEM Bridgestone Potenza RE 050As still have 4/32"s at 33k.

...I also did a 4 wheel alignment at 32k.
