Nitto invo

Hello :hello: everybody,
I have a tire question. Is anybody here running Nitto Invo tires? I had them on my '07 vette and they were fine, but I'm new to the Z cars and I don't know much about this car therefore I'm not sure how it will react to the nitto's.
Thanks.

I just got new wheels a couple weeks ago and I'm running the nitto invo 255 front 305 rear. Looks and rides great. I'm at stock height also.

Second from the bottom:

Tire Test: Nine Affordable Summer Tires Take On the Michelin PS2 Comparison Tests - Page 4 - Car and Driver

Unfortunately, the Nittos’ performance was less inspiring. They were second from the bottom in both dry lap time and braking, with both drivers reporting a soft feeling at the limit and that they were difficult to drive precisely because the grip would taper off in a nonlinear fashion.

I love my Michelin Super Sports.

+1 for Michelin's, had the Invo's as my second set of tires and will never put them on it again. They don't last very long and sound/ride horrible the closer they get to the end of their life. I'm currently running the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and love them. They will be the absolute last tire I will buy for the Z.

Pilot Sports are the way to go.

What kind of driving do you do?

The invo's are definitely not much a performance tire, with a focus on a quieter ride, etc.

If performance is what you are after, there are a number of better options, pss and re11 among them. But, if you liked them on your vette, there's no reason you wouldn't like them on the z.

Thanks for posting that article, repped

I have to say, hearing a tired called "Ling Long" sounded poop and per the tests, it was poop lol.

Hey, this was the article to spark Michelin to design the Almighty PSS. :) well Hankooks got much respect in this article. Maybe it will qwell some of that hankook hate??? I would go michelin PSS in a heartbeat. But let's say I was a little tight on funds? I can rock hankooks WITHOUT shame and know I have a top quality product. Braking stats and dry wet stats were fine. Which is most important out of any street tire. And performance is competitive to higher end tires for an exceptional price.

ive had stock tires, a brand i forget, invos, michelin pss, and now an all season tire because im saving for wheels.

the invos look cool, are quiet, drive pretty nice, but do not compare at all to the PSS when driven hard. NOT AT ALL. and they get loud when they wear in my opinion. the PSS were the best handling tire ive ever seen (streetwise), but only lasted me about 15k miles. thats sort of expected on these cars though

OP if you had them on a vette they will be fine on the z. I love mine so far as stated above.

When the tires on my Nismo go out I am going to get these bad boys. I have heard nothing but good news about these tires & you also get a 30k mile warranty too.

It's an old test (2009) so I doubt it will do much to quiet the hate. I hated the V12s because of the feel. Far too squishy for my taste.

They are definitely a decent option if you don't want to drop $1500 on a set of tires, though.
