Default LED Lights on 370z

Hi Guys,

I have a Blue 370z Convertible - and I wanted your opinion ... Do you think installing these blue flexible strips on the interior of my car will make it look tacky?

5M 300 LED 3528 SMD Blue Flexible Strip Light Car Auto Free Shipping! - US$14.50

Or is this the wrong product to get and I should get something else?

Just wanted to add a nice lighting effect on the interior of my car .... its a convertible so it will be running on the ground like where ur feet and stuff would be - I want that area to like glow ....

Thanks.

I think it would be okay for footwell lighting where you can't see the strip itself. Then it'd just be the glow, which wouldn't looks bad imo. But if you can see the strip and the LEDs, it might look tacky.

I can't stand it when you can see the lights, like the ricer kids that put neons under their car with the tube hanging halfway to the ground. But yeah, blue illuminated footwells sounds good to me

Please don't! So tacky. Unless its some professional work like MRWorks or 180 Headlights then don't waste your time.

Cheese is in the eye of the beholder.

I see a lot of cheese on the street. Please folks...keep the cheese in the fridge where it belongs.

IMHO the only LEDs on the Z belong on the edge of the headlights to give it an audi style side brow. The OEM LED DRL's are obnoxiously placed in the 09-12.

It's your car, and if it makes you happy then give them a shot.

I think the best route to go if you want to do it is using a very few leds and not have them directly shine the area you want to light but rather have the light "bounce" off of another surface to smooth out the area of light. LEDs give a narrow point of light which would make bad looking bright spots. You just want a dim soft glow imo.

Not a good idea. Save some cash and have your headlights modded with the landing strip LED's or something more tasteful like that.

If you installed them and the strips were visible it would look tacky. But a clean hidden install to provide ambient lighting would probably work.

It depends on the color. A soft white would look pretty cool, but a neon blue or purple says "I live my life a quarter mile a time"

+1....... In the end it is your car & it is your money, but I would probably not do it. Actually the only way is if it was done professionally & did not look ghetto. I would like to have the actual light bulb circle in LED like the BMW & the long line as well, but you are probably looking at an easy grand to-do both on the passenger & driver side.

Default I did

I put in Cyron 9" LED Media Highlighter PRO System LEDs. There are four tubes with a controller. You can google the product to find out all it can do. Here is one example. Oh yes, they're tacky...but fun.

That's true. The BEST thing that goes with flamingos is a light Bearnaise sauce and a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.
