My wife got a fine for no front plate within the first 4 days of us owning the car. We bought it from a province that doesn't have a front plate so there wasn't even a mount on the car.
Anyways she received a 125 ticket so that night I mounted the plate with a custom bracket screwed from the underside of the lowest point of the bumper. My plate is at an angle so it doesn't block too much air into the rad or cooler and it's the lowest point on my car so not so noticeable. |

I had a good streak going for awhile. Went commando for almost year and half.
then got pulled over twice within a 6 month period. by the same highway patrol officer. got 2 warning's. he said one more and it's for keeps. figured better not push my luck so put it back on... i know the car looks better without..... but i'm use to it by know and don't give it a second thought.......... |
my white plate on white car looks good to me

Not really feeling the stillen racket with the plate to the side, stock looks better IMO, going no plate in the front in NYC for 5 weeks now :)

I went 3 years without a front license plate on my s2000 and 1 year on my RX-8. I did get pulled over once in the RX-8 by a highway trooper on my way back from san antonio but the car was fairly new and he let me go with a warning since I told him my dealer hadn't gotten the bracket for me yet.
Now that I have the Z the bracket is there and I might just keep it. I figure I got away with it for about 4 years and I might as well put it on since the bracket is already drilled into my bumper :( |
