LOL yea man... cant deny how fast an evo can be w/ 3k spent on it... but then again... they look like a soap box... but in all honesty - you will absolutely become a crappier driver if you own an evo - the car just does too much driving for you... I noticed that I started SUCKING at controlling my G35 when I used to go for spirited runs while I had my Evo X...

^^LOL the worst part about it is a few times I ended up taking the bait and give them what they want. These people just want to see you go. Usually all it takes is a nice compliment or thumbs up to get me to start feelin my cheerios. That's when I'll give em a taste of the blood curdling howl of my Subby and it's fart can
I've pulled up to a couple C6 Zs who will blow past me for no good reason while I'm minding my business. Nice to see some of this coaxing rubbing off on you Z drivers for a change. A few years ago I was getting it from all angles lol. The only thing you'll see me doing when I see a 370 is damn near breaking my neck for a good look Last edited by BobDigi5060; 06-10-2009 at 08:30 PM. |

I didn't really care for my WRX (mainly since I bought it for reliability and then my engine blew) but what I did like about Subaru's is the subaru community. Whenever I had any problem someone was always there to help me for no charge, and give me information on anything no matter how n00b the issue was. Plus every subaru driver I met in a parking lot was cool, and complemented me on my pretty much stock subaru. I never got that with the Rx7 community, everyone was too busy fixing their own car.
and I'm hoping this community is great too |

Thanks for the idea. I'm getting one from Home Depot this afternoon. This stuff happens to me all the time. On occasion, I rev it up to get them hooked and then when the light turns green, I pull off real slow as they blow off the line racing with themselves. |

I might get flamed here, but that's what's fun about owning this car! If I could do a quick little burst with the guy/kid within the speed limit, in a safe area, I'm all in! I even had like a 65-year old guy in a Bimmer M5 get on it next to me. A guy just a bit younger than me pulled up behind me in a nicely-done EVO. I waved, and he smiled and waved back. We both knew we were loving each others' cars and were having fun. That's what's great about these cars, no matter what type you have. It brings out our "inner-kid." I love it. I know even my 70-year old dad loves stoplight racing people to the speed limit safely in his Rover Supercharged. Wait, maybe I get it from my dad! BTW, my pops wants the 2010 Rangie Sport Supercharged with the 510hp V8. I suppose he wants a shot at the Z. He he.

Face it... Every Mustang, Evo, STI, Mercedes, BMW, Nissan, and Civic driver thinks their car is the fastest thing on the road. When I was in the Trans Am, I couldn't go 1 day without someone trying to get me to run them. You buy the newest sports car and EVERYONE's going to want to line 'em up and see how they fair against you.
My favorite dumb line-'em-up time was when I was at a light and a SVT Cobra pulls up next to me. The guy wasn't revving up on me or anything, but he looked like a douche bag. So I didn't like him. LOL Anyway, a cop stops behind the car that was behind him and I noticed it, so I revved at the SVT driver. He revved back... Light turned green, he took off like a bat out of hell peeling wheel and I just started driving like Miss Daisy was in the back seat. Obviously, the cop immediately pulled him over. As I drove by him, I was laughing my *** off at him.
