I was hoping to get some input from all you guys with after market LSDs installed. DO you feel a big difference? If so, what kind of diff do sit make/are you feeling? Also, will you feel it much in regular DD mode or only at the track?

im not sure if a dd would feel much difference. the biggest difference is when turning sharp (or pretty sharp) and hitting the throttle hard. open diff can be an embarrassment with more noise and not much go vs some go with viscous type...but if you setup your suspension, alignment, and tires correctly that might net you more vs just getting LSD.

You will notice a pretty big difference if you drive hard. If you aren't noticing situations where it will make a difference in getting power to both wheels, you probably don't need one.
Os giken is a great option, quaife is as well. Quaife is a bit less intrusive for DD, but the OSG is not bad either. |

The gear type LSD's are going to be the most street friendly, quiet and well mannered (Quaife etc). But if you're not having a specific problem then there probably isn't much point upgrading.

Yep, you will notice it most when breaking the tires loose & the back end steps out on you. Also really tight clutch units can be noisy & a bit grabby around slow corners (like your Z is going to slow corner ) but as mentioned, unless you are really pushing the car Track, advanced AutoX ect. For the street, the factory LSD is more than adequate. YMMV

I think I'll wait until I have a few more track days under my belt to decide. Thanks for the input everyone.
