Because I got a SPORT model and didn't pay BASE model price doesn't equal ripped off

I got my Sport for 38k last December which I felt was high but at the time I didn't mind (new). I didn't pay 50k for my G37 IPL. If you paid 50k for a Z in any form you paid too mcuh.

Wow, That's more than what I paid out the door for my 13Z with sport package! Better to buy a FRS, at least Scion's prices are fixed.

Sorry, I still think it's a POS, crap interior and build quality from what I've seen too... They made it to a budget... And it's easy to tell

Makes no sense unless you are talking about aftermarket parts. The BRZ/FRS top out at 27000 fully loaded whereas the 370z starts near or above 40.

People bash the car and I bet half of the people who have, haven't driven it. The car is a lot of car for the money. Sure, the interior is the nicest, and it's underpowered, BUT, the price reflects that. The handling of the car is remarkable! The car is easy to kick out, but only on demand, as it corners extremely well. Anyone who has driven a Miata, it feels the same with a lot more room. If they come out with a turbo model, there will be no competition in the rwd market.

Bunch if fanboiz on this forums.

I bet none of you even driven one. It provides a different experience than the z.

It's more responsive to driver inputs, especially the steering wheel. Go cart like feel

The seats are way more bolstered than the z.

It is slower, but sometimes it isn't about speed. That's why the miata is great.

Would I trade my z for one? No, it's a different beast, I'm a sucker for horsepower and torque.

Would I ever buy one? Yes. For the price nothing new in that range will give you a better driving experience.

Going from that car then hopping into the z, you can quickly feel the weight difference, which is what makes it fun.

It's hard to lose weight but easier to gain horsepower. Once the sti version comes out I'd be glad to switch.

The Z starts at 40k now???

He said he paid more for his BRZ than his 370, his 370Z was a base *** model, and I think he got it for $26.5 brand new and the BRZ was 27, I'll have him chime in

Also, I drove the FRS recently... Still hate it, I had more fun driving my ex's Yaris than the FRS

On Top Gear they state that a car begins to become fun at the limit of grip. Which is true... But for $25k, it's also gotta be fast... Which it isn't. With a turbo, sure, but I'm pretty happy with my car as it sits, NA...
I still think the FRS/BRZ is ugly and shíttily made...

Please don't bash, I'm not a Nissan fanboy, I'm a Toyota fanboy, but the FRS/BRZ, no... Just no... Keep it away from me... I'd rather drive a Yaris, or my old Avalon, any day of the week

1st: Are you sure you are not the fanboy?
2nd: Again are you sure you have driven one and can actually say it is more responsive? Hell there is a review on here talking about the lack of responsiveness in the frz. The Z's steering is hydro where as the frz is electronic is it not? How do you get realistic feel back into your hands when it is electronic?
3rd: Yes the miata is great, but not so much out the box again when compared to the Z or more exspensive cars that are built with performance in mind from the factory.
4th: Why would I buy something only to have to do MAJOR WARRANTY DENYING MODS to make it really fun to drive?
5th: I do agree with the speculative sti version, but till it hits the streets, we still dont know anything really about it besides specualtion.
6th: I snagged my base sport with 19k on the clock for the same price, so for the price, there is much better options available right now. But then again mine isnt brand new, but I do still have a 7yr 100k bumper to bumper warranty. So with that being said 0k vs 19k miles are irrelevant when you get on a track.

That's quite a statement! More fun in a Yaris vs. FRS ? Could it just be that you prefer a front-wheel drive layout?

I drove a Vios ( sedan version of Yaris) for a few weeks: I found it to be very "Anti-septic" in character and nausea-inducing in fast, tight corners through Coastal canyons. Not very fun.

No, I like the ISF I have and the 370Z plenty.

I took her car out while she was asleep (didn't want to lose my parking space) and damn it was fun driving that POS, didn't brake well, but yeah, I liked driving it a lot, she started to laugh when I told her how fun, but she agreed

How am I a fanboy? I'm just opened to options.

Yours is used im talking new for new. In its price range.

My friend has a brz so yes I've driven it plenty of times back to back, and know what they feel like.

The miata is probably one of the best handling cars ever made, you are blinded by your z lol. Just stop talking.

So I guess it beign "NEW" makes it better than? I dont remember being "NEW" made a difference specs or performance wise? The miata is still slow from the factory on a track, whether it is a straight line or curved. And I never said it doesnt "handle" well and I did say it was a great car, I just said it is slow. Falls in the same catagory as the frz. Slow+great handling still = slow.
