Nissan Fairlady Z (370z) Dealer options/accessories list

I'm mostly interested in the keyfob. Any idea if it would actually work with a US model, and/or what's required to get it mated to the car?

Are you referencing the key fob remote with the auto start?

Yeah, the one described as:

Answer back model. Function: Engine start/ stop. Door lock/ un-lock. Rear defogger control system. Check the car situation with LC monitor. NOT functioned with security system. NOT for M/T.
I wish we had a better description of what this really means. "Check car situation"? "LC monitor"? Also there's an "Answer-back" and non-Answer-back. I assume that means lock/unlock status, etc are reported back from the car to the remote's display.

The answer back gives feedback acknowledging functions you chose actually happened. The security system is already on the car with the Intelligent Key, and this remote is an adjunct to your Intelligent Key, not a replacement; you will now be carrying two remotes with you. What I am hoping is that you can open the trunk with the Z running versus the current situation.

This is the one I want to purchase too.

BTW, you can open the trunk with the car running if you're outside. For my auto, I have to be in park with the parking brake engaged. I assume neutral + parking brake on the 6MT would do the same.

Thanks for the tip as I have not tried it with the parking brake engaged!

Yes you can open it with the car running as long as you are the one outside and you have the FOB in your pocket. If the door locks were previously activated you may need to press the unlock button then press the release button.
