New 370z - which color?
I will be getting my 370 (touring/sport) this week and I am torn between the Magnetic Black, White and the Platinim Graphite. I think the black looks really tough (especially with the sport rims!!) and I am leaning in that direction but my worry is how difficult it will be to keep clean and hide nicks. The White and Graphite look better when they are dirty and they hide pollen much better (I live in Atlanta where all cars are yellow in March/April). Just looking for opinions. Thanks.

All good choices, but due to cleaning I am partial to Platinum graphite. |
I have white so of course I am going to say go that route...but my decision was between white, gun metallic, and black. I chose white cuz I like the pearl in the paint and never had a white vehicle before...I have had black and know what goes into keeping one looking good. With that said even with white you really have to wash it just as much as the road grime after a rainstorm makes it look just as bad. Invest in a califorina duster for the pollen as white will turn yellow just the same.....so what I am saying is I don't think the upkeep is that much more extensive on what color the car is...if you want it clean you are going to have to take the time to wash it. Only thing is a lighter color car is more forgiving on swirl marks being visible unless you get at the right angle in the sun. Hope that helps. Good luck in your decsion if you were like me you stood there looking at each color for over an hour trying to decide which you wanted to live with for the day to day :tiphat:
Black is beautiful...but white is right! |
^^ Agreed. If you want your car to look nice you need to wash it often anyways regardless what color you have. I have a white 370z and a black G35 coupe. I love both colors. Black looks badass while white shows more curves and details on a sports car like Z. But for some reason I'd suggest to go for the black if you are getting a touring/sport z. It looks really sexy in black. In any cases, you cuoldn't go wrong with either colors.

Well I have a black Murano and a Gun Metallic 370 and obviously the black is more work to take care of. A bird crapped on the hood yesterday and it's a half hour ordeal to clean it up and no matter how careful I ended up with a few more fine scratches.
I like the black but it needs constant attention to look it's best, with paint correction at least once a year. I chose the gun metallic as it hides dirt and scratches better, looks great in the sun and is easier to maintain. My second choice would definitely be the white. |
Go with Platinum Graphite!

Curvy cars look amazing in Black! You can't go wrong with any of those colors, but go Black! Otherwise you'll regret it every time you see a black one. Trust your gut!

Black comes with heavy maintenance, not to mention Nissan's crappy paint.

Black..comes with work but you have to put in the time to play...as long as you can maintain it by washing weekly go with black.

Definitely get white. I've seen all three colors in person and the pearl white is absolutely stunning. The PG is also really good and personally I find the black to be "just ok" (even though there is no such thing as a bad 370z color).

the two best days of owning a black vehicle... (for me), the day i bought it, and the day i sold it. of course black is sexy.. when its PERFECT. if it were me, (its not me) choice would be grey or white. good luck and remember. black will cost time and money to keep flawless, you gotta decide whats best for you
