ive never ordered speakers on line, like to hear them first, and have a place to return them if there are issues. head units and other items i have ordered on line. in fact i built my theater in my basement buying everything on line (except speakers) and saved a ton doing it

+1.... Nope....... Always went to a place that I knew & trusted. It is always better to hear them in person & with whatever amp as well.

Unfortunately you can't always listen to them in stores. None of the stores anywhere near me carried the kind of stuff I was looking for when building my system. I just had to take a chance on them being good, since they're crazy expensive.

I've ordered speakers, amps, wiring kits, head units and other accessories from different online vendors such as:
  • Crutchfield.com
  • Sonicelectronix.com
  • eBay.com
  • Amazon.com

All of which were exactly what I ordered and in great condition. I would buy from any of them, and will again soon when it comes time to replace the front speakers.

Most of the sites mentioned you put your car information and will tell you the size of your speakers, stereo, etc.

For anyone who might have questions on the install, I recommend Crutchfield. Their customer service is amazing. They helped me troubleshoot a head unit I didn't even purchase from them while installing some new speakers I did purchase from them.

If you know what you're doing, other places can have slightly better prices for newer products.

crutchfield does give you free harnesses and antenna adapters when you purchase a head unit, but you can get all of that stuff for less on amazon or ebay if you know exactly what you need. My advice is to do research and save money as i am on a budget.
