I guess you found your next car?

We'll see, I sold the Z to set aside more $ for a home and a quick internet search shows that the Exige is a little hard to find at a price I could manage right now.

Exige is the ****. I would totally get one but I needed a practical car, so I bought the S2000.

Doesn't get more practical than a Honda.

I actually averaged 24.5 mpg this last tank which included a spirited 140 mile drive with the Z crew last weekend. Not bad! Of course the trade-off is when you apply pressure to the throttle nothing actually happens.

Anyways, I applaud BladeZ for doing what he needs to do for a house. That's more important than a car. So my advice is just STAY THE COURSE and resist temptation! Get a fun car after you have a garage of your own to put it in, otherwise you sold the Z for no reason.

The biggest was the brake cooling issue. But there have been brake cooling issues since the original 240z. I guess they are making safety flaws a tradition???

Anyway, pardon the non-aspirated. Its naturally-aspirated. I'm actually just have flu, allergies and running a mild temp. As far as Ken feeling ignored... lol it doesn't really bother me what you said. You caught my flaw. Cool. There's just a couple of guys on here that will remain nameless that always seem to swing on mine hard on any little post. So my hostility showed. From a couple of guys on here its just reached corny status how they always appear to mock any comment I make which may be flawed. Then you get the one or two extra jock riders coming and joining in. I know who jokes and who's trying to be an azz.

Anyway back to topic. The z isnt without flaws and mods are expensive. But I honestly feel this car is worth taking my time and getting it right. If a turbo Z comes out? I will get one, but I won't trade the Z34. It may be only be a potential collectible to most. But for me its an instant classic. Talk about perfect evolution when you see a 240z and 370z next to each other.
Hopefully I am not one of the extra Jock riders... And Corny is my middle name..We may have beaten a dead horse, and that is animal abuse..

No, I took the Z as far as it could go N/A and found myself wanting more, it happens. The TT kits turn the Z into a straight line monster and the S/C kits don't put out the torque I would want for the price of the kit. I'm sure GTM will continue to improve their products and the Z is without a doubt a great value but I wanted a car with import build quality, more torque and astounding handling and feedback. The Z has the build quality and the good-great handling but issues such as lack of an oil cooler, a horrible stock exhaust note and full torque unobtainable until 4750rpm were some of the things I didn't like.

I built a great Z, I loved it very much, I sold it and in hindsight there are characteristics of the car that could be improved. I had my "highway altercations" like some and had my share of glorious moments (I promise as safely as I could). Honestly, when you get left standing by a lightly tuned Evo X, STi, 5.0 Stang, 135i or dare I say a Genesis (I highly doubt it though) the last thing you are thinking is hey I got a good value.

Oh and I'm sorry I almost forgot, I haven't mentioned it at all but the damn m6 gearbox absolutely drove me mad. That "lump" between gates was very frustrating and members who have an s2k or porsche know that the Z m6 gearbox is faaaaar behind.

That was one of the most annoying things to me, but I guess I had been spoiled by some great transmissions.
