Anyway, pardon the non-aspirated. Its naturally-aspirated. I'm actually just have flu, allergies and running a mild temp. As far as Ken feeling ignored... lol it doesn't really bother me what you said. You caught my flaw. Cool. There's just a couple of guys on here that will remain nameless that always seem to swing on mine hard on any little post. So my hostility showed. From a couple of guys on here its just reached corny status how they always appear to mock any comment I make which may be flawed. Then you get the one or two extra jock riders coming and joining in. I know who jokes and who's trying to be an azz. Anyway back to topic. The z isnt without flaws and mods are expensive. But I honestly feel this car is worth taking my time and getting it right. If a turbo Z comes out? I will get one, but I won't trade the Z34. It may be only be a potential collectible to most. But for me its an instant classic. Talk about perfect evolution when you see a 240z and 370z next to each other. |

I'm in an M3 now and it's the same story. I'm not going to get much more than about the same gains (as the Z) with bolt on's. It is starting from a much stronger point but the overall gain at the end of the day is probably equal (+50 hp) with full bolt ons. I won't lie... it's a different car alright but you know, that comes at a co$t. I miss my Z for what it was and would absolutely recommend one to anybody. It's still the most bang for the buck although it's getting some pretty stiff competition coming out. |

Im in Germany and actually get to drive fast on a routine basis, If I want to see the the gas gauge move rapidly. I can also enjoy the car in a dynamic environment as well(think Nurburgring). If makes me laugh when I see somone turning a sportcar into top fuel dragster. Making it anything but what it was out of the box. A car for driving and enjoying in a dynamic environment. The US does not lack cars for going fast for 12 seconds in a straight line. As far as mods go - in the US you are making alot of people rich to go 70mph in car that will double that in stock form. Save your money for good electronics, fun travel or retirement. Its a free country and we can do what we want, but its quite funny to see the rationale that the Z needs so much work after Nissan made it more than formidable. On the Autobahn a Cayman isnt pushing me out of the left lane. Trust me. Its the 3 liter + Audi wagons LOL! Or the guy in the twin turbo 911 who is owning the left lane! I watched a German auto test show and they tested the Audi TT-S vs the 370Z and the hosts/testers all picked it hands down! This car is superb. |

I own a blacked out naturally aspirated v8 7.0l ls7 427 small block c6 z06 dishing out 620rwhp all motor. Power is ridiculously......violent. I just purchased a 370z.
Truth is, you can't expect to much from a 3.7l V6 as you would from a V8 period. The motor is limited in size and bolt ons won't help out to much due to the displacement. I bought the 370z because its got an interior that's light years better then that of my vette. I paid almost twice the price for the Z06 but thats because of the Block which is a monster. I am actually amazed on how smooth and pull its got for having such a small block. Exterior is really sexy might I add. It wouldn't be fair for the Z to compete against bigger blocks. Forced Induction is its only hope if big power is what is desired. If you wanna compete with bigger faster cars the GTR (Nissans Fans) is where its at. AMS GTR? Game over. |

Porsche GT3! Perhaps but not in my immediate future plus I'm not sure how I feel about Porsche's electronic steering, I'm thinking maybe a Lotus before a Porsche.

Let's not forget... we buy the Z for another reason. FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK FEEDBACK. The muscle cars just don't give the same feedback on both street and track the way the Z does. Nor do they give that same level of maneuverability. They don't offer that lightweight feel the Z provides in the small package. And though you can get more feeback from the cancelled S2k and miata. You don't lose a lot but the power gain is tremendous. I know that BOSS 302 is probably the only car in the Z price range that can match or beat the Z feel. But its just another version of yet another mustang. Though I would buy one. It would one in a stable, not my one and only. The Z still resonates originality that other cars in the price range can't reproduce. Of course this is just my opinion and purely subjective. |

Even with the 5.0s. We can get to 440whp or so with intake, tune, and full exhaust. Beyond that you need FI. Unless you are OK with shelling out several thousand bucks for cams (510whp), but FI is the best bang for the buck without a doubt. I think that's true for all cars. If you want cost-effective power, go FI. Otherwise realize that bolt-on gains will be limited.

My neighbor just came by the office and we made a dunkin donuts run. He let me drive his Lotus Exige S. Omg....putting practicality aside, I have never driven such an amazing car. It left my heart racing and my soul yearning for me...I should not have driven it.
