I used to put surfboards and a bicycle in a Mustang GT. The WRX is ugly as sin. No thanks. |

Yeah, that's why I asked about fitting it in the hatch. I've taken both wheels off to fit in a trunk before. They have quick release and the seatpost has quick release so it's really not that difficult or time consuming. I also have wheel bags so that helps keep the inside of the car clean and the wheels protected from rubbing against the frame of the bike.

for me, my mom drove mine to the grocery store one day and "forgot " she had the Z lol and bought a little over $200 worth of groceries..... towards the end of putting them in the trunk, it got pretty tight i must say but we did it and it fit.
bottomline of what im saying is..... yes it doesnt have ALOT of space but it certainly has SOME space lol

Imagine if I went to a road bike forum with a picture of your bike and asked "What mountain bike tires will fit this? I mean, I can only afford one bike but I need to be able to ride dirt trails with it on occasion." What kind of responses do you think I would get. This post is the sports car equivalent so don't feel bad that people are replying the way they are.
Now that you know it can be done you should take your bike down to the dealer and test fit it for your final answer. Hope it works out, the Z is a lot of fun when you're not riding your bike.

Nobody fits mtb tires to a road bike. Cars are generally multi-purpose vehicles. How many things they can do depends on the interior volume and many other factors. Now, if I went on to a Lotus Elise forum and asked this question... that would be ridiculous. You can't even fit a bag of golf clubs in the trunk of that car. |
