Oh BTW there is a reason I'm on the other side of the state from people like Red LOL LonGilender are mad cause they aren't really New Yorkers.
lol Red

but the sad part is my post on that thread is actually the most constructive, dont you think? im teaching the guy how to heel and toe telling him how a seasoned MT like me views folks that cant do this basic technique. dont really need SRM if you're a true MT driver. hell, my G doesn't have SRM and no issue.

and i get some pansy post telling me to soften up? wtf..

I'm planning on high performance driving lessons at Watkins Glen when I get my ZL1 so that I can drive it to it's max. I don't have a huge amount of driving in anger with a MT.

kenchan, I would argue that heel-toe isn't even necessary for the OP in that thread. I think he probably should work on rev-matching first. Then he can add braking and heel-toe maneuvers into his repertoire... many years later

LOL Kenman I said high performance not high weight. And you might have been a tad harsh saying that if somebody cannot heel n toe they shouldn't buy a MT. I've had more than a couple MT's that you cannot heel-toe due to poor peddal placement.

The pedals in my Ford Explorer Sport were spaced so far apart I couldn't heel-toe if I wanted to with my size 13 shoes (not that heel-toe is particularly useful in an SUV). There were several situations I got into where braking with my left foot saved me cause I think my right foot would not have made it to the pedal in the reaction time I was given. Of course that meant I stalled out once I stopped since I didn't have another foot to put in the clutch

Kenman my 69 vette had it's clutch farther away from the firewall than the gas, I'd have to stand on my head to hit both at once with one foot. It was easier to heal to the brake and clutch LOL

those classics... they dont turn anyway no meaning to head/toe or heel/toe watever your choice. but the Z, she can turn! why not get the most out of the car if one's spending $30K+ on a MT car no?
