hi zman- do you have an adroid phone? if so, are you able to transfer/copy your contacts into your nuvi 1490?

i couldn't figure out how to do it yesterday...

PM me some financial advice! Seriously, I have no savings and no 401K due to working for such a small company.

I had lots of fun! Love the sound and feel of the exhaust when I'm punching it. Responsibly, of course.

At least you get responses that are pleasant! I only ever get the stupid guys who want to race me in POS cars or minivans. Or the haters stare.

Yes I have a android phone but never linked it to the Garmin unit. I would have to try and report back

anyway, i ordered the nuvi2595 (5" bt with lifetime maps) cause it can do weather and traffic via BT (not FM) from my droid4 using smartlink app.

+ the ecoroute guages, ofcourse!

i didnt know about this when i ordered the 1490 last week.

none of the reviews i read had any comments about smartlink and weather.

and found this gps guy blogging about and was like wow, crap, i bought the wrong nuvi. lol

all this time nuvi was able to show dopplar radar on its map and i didnt know about it. wtf...

going to return the 1490 unless i can fit it in the G's cubby. will see...
