Hi guys. Feeling really great right now. I owe it all to the people on this forum. I'm a pretty good mechanic. I was a Jet Mech in the Marines and have done some work on cars. Everything from changing engines (even with different car companies providing the replacement engine) to complete suspension mods. I'm pretty sure I could install either a Stillen or GTM SC. Would need help with the tuning. Now to what has made me soo happy. Ever since coming to the forum I've been doing things outside my comfort zone. Body mods and detailing actually scare me. Drilling into the alum. trunk of a perfectly good sports car isn't something I'm used to. Today I buffed out some areas on the trunk that have bothered me for 2 years. 3 years ago I wouldn't have bought a DA( yes it is a random Kensan) and tried to do it. It was much easier than I expected. Tomorrow I'm doing a 3 step detail of the paint. 1st I'm using a Turtle wax scratch remover, then going to a Maguires Gold wax, and finally an ultimate shine with detail spray and the detail pad of the DA. I'm hoping for a great finish on my car. I'm doing everything short of claying it. The confidence I go into this task is all thanks to the encouragement of the GREAT people here. Thanks again guys(and gals).

^^^ I am definitely feeling that "group hug" thing coming on right now.
I agree with Mr. Fire. The people on the forum (who I haven't put on my ignore list) are great folks.

This forum makes me think I can do mods to my car by myself. Then I walk to my car, stand in front of it, walk back inside, pick up the phone and call a mechanic...
But uh... I successfully installed an in cabin air filter and shift knob! lmao Was curious how easy it would be to wire up the rear fog off of a 12v power supply to use it as an on off switch? Or would it be easier to just wire it off the OEM harness from the BCM panel or w/e it is... |

Good Afternoon Mr.kenchan The High-of-The-Day is by the time I start leaving to the dealer the sun came out and the temperature rise, there was some rain-water on the Z but it dried up quickly. Quote:

Back to the Z stuffs, so I went to the dealer the pick up my Z, and I look at the lining carefully and inspect everything.... still it is not perfect because their contractor is trying to fix the top instead of replace the worn part. So I tell them I am not completely satisfy with the job, the two personnel in the service department, one adviser and one manage, trying to explain to me what's the pros and cons, the whole time they are polite and patient, so at the end, since I do not want to leave to Z to them for another week for this issue, we, both parties, agreed I can bring the Z back to them around the winter time, so I will leave the Z to them and they will replace the canvas. Done deal for now, and the service adviser offer me either a)an oil-change or b)a detailing service.... I chose (c)... I took a grey color Nissan Polo Shirt Well, the polo has their "Scarborough Nissan" logo on it, but what the heck, so far I am happy with them, so I wouldn't mind putting it on. If they screw me in the future, I'll just stitch "Don't Go To" above their logo.... |
