Please help

For some reason my 2009 z with 27000 miles has high rev hang on mornings below 40 degrees. Not only that but it also seems to rev itself when stationary.

Exclamation Please help

For some reason my 2009 z with 27000 miles has high rev hang on mornings below 40 degrees. Not only that but it also seems to rev itself when stationary. I thought that maybe it was the oil so I changed it to 5w30. I even let it warm all the way up to 170degrees and it still did it. The nearest Nissan dealer is 4hours away and this is my DD. ALL HELP/ideas are welcome

Floormat on the accelerator? Revs are slow to respond when the car is warming up. Once it's warm, idle should be normal and the revs more responsive. Post a video.

yah, first list up any mods you have on your car so that we know wat the setup is. any SES lit? did you recently fill up (bag gas may be?)

i suppose you can check the MAF sensor if its dirty, do the accelerator pedal reset (ck out my touring pedals on your base diy in DIY section), etc.

No the floor mat is definatly not in the way and it idles high even when warm

I do not have anything modded all stock. None of the SES are lit. I only use 91 octane. I will attempt to rest the pedals.

Earlier today I started the vehicle and this problem was gone, but I have a feeling that when I go to start it in the morning it will do it again

What about resetting the ECU by unplugging the battery? May be worth a shot.

That also means re-indexing the windows if i'm correct. If it's easily reproducible.... i'd say hit the dealer up. U still have warranty yes?

op- see if you can get higher octane gas in your area for your next fill up and see if it helps. in my area premium is 93octane.
