Default Turbo Kit - For all you techies

Does anyone know if there's a turbo kit in development and if so when that will be released? as well as pricing estimates etc...

And then further, if I have stillen CBE, headers, cold air, exhaust etc.. is that going to clash at all if i want to put a turbo or are they all compatible?

Cheers for the help sorry if these are stupid questions :P

GTM is the only vendor close to a complete turbo kit. Check out the Forced Induction subforum.

All of those mods will clash with a turbo kit. If you want an exhaust, you will need a turbo-back exhaust, preferrably with 3" diameter piping.

exhaust has to be changed....need wider pipes
the intakes will get in the way, dunno about headers

the best person to ask is the people at GTM, check the homepage for them.
they got 600+hp with 11 lbs boost on the engine with stock components...not bad

it'll make sense if they made a kit from that for the Z.

I'm not sure what a CBE is.

You will need to sell your headers because you will be using turbo manifolds. Cold air intake will be replaced by the set for the turbo kit. The exhaust is a maybe depending on the diameter and how the wategates are set up, your WHp goals and what kind of sound you like. I actually have the 2.25" Fast Intentions exhaust on mine without any issues with internal gates.

Base price for the kit has been around 11K to 12K but goes up depending on options for boost control and gages/sensor package. Then you obviously need reserve $$ for potential repairs or upgrades.
