NISMO front bumper replica. Any interest?

I'm currently in the process of replicating the NISMO front bumper and would like some of the forum members take on it. Would you be more interested in fiberglass or urethane?

xxJoNNiexx 04-04-2012 10:41 PM

i would be interested in urethane..

marks370z 04-04-2012 11:11 PM

I'll probably have a couple made in fiberglass and urethane and see which one gets better satisfaction.

LakeShow 04-05-2012 01:02 AM

Why are you making replica bumpers if you have a Nismo? Just curious. I would be interested in a Nismo rear spoiler though.

marks370z 04-05-2012 01:13 AM

It's what I do for a living. I replicate a lot of lips and bumpers and resell. Just now getting a Z, so i figured I might try my hand at replicating parts for them. So if any of the forum members would like to contribute some ideas it would help.

Srenity 04-05-2012 01:23 AM

If fitment is good urethane would be awsome.

iceman21_23 04-05-2012 01:32 AM

replicate the rear... in urethane and send me the test fit :p

Ah I see, that's cool. I've noticed people have been able to obtain the front, rear, and side skirts from a Nismo Z but never a true replica of the rear spoiler. I can guarantee you that if you were able to replicate that exactly, you would make a killing. The Seibon and EvoR don't even have the same look and fit. I know myself and many other members are hungry searching for an exact looking Nismo wing and aren't able to find it. Looking forward to your work.

marks370z 04-05-2012 01:31 PM

I just ordered the sides/rear and front bumper and wing. Body parts should be here within the week or next and the wing had to be ordered from overseas so that's about a 2 month wait. Will keep you guys updated though.

PapoZalsa 04-05-2012 01:35 PM

Would like a replica in black of the Mine extension rear spoiler in urethane. ;)

sfearl1 04-05-2012 01:38 PM

i'd be interested in seeing a variation like the 350Z "SL2" front bumper...

USMCASA 04-05-2012 03:10 PM

also can you replicate the 1000 buck splash shield that covers the oil pan since the standard one is too short for the nismo.... either that or make the bumper marry up to the existing one

lol1234 04-05-2012 03:30 PM

the SL2 was a great bumper

Like the one ZSpeed makes? The aluminum front diffuser?

christian370z 04-05-2012 06:09 PM

I know you seem to be interested in making replicas of existing products, but PLEASE make a tasteful and restrained rear diffuser! It looks like you move quickly through the process too, that will serve you well.

I'm actually in the process of having a rear diffuser designed by a friend of mine. Made of .063 aluminum. I'm going to see how that goes as planned and post up pics as soon as possible.

Mr. Q 04-05-2012 11:48 PM

I'd be interested in a urethane one as well. Also a bonus if it works with the standard under shroud as I have the z1 aluminum shroud that id like to keep

gbrettin 04-06-2012 02:33 PM

Really interested in this thread. Let's see where it goes!

LakeShow 04-06-2012 05:25 PM

OP, are you trying to make exact precision replicas of the OEM Nismo parts to the point where you can't tell the difference? That would be epic! :)

Doing a bit more than trying. :tiphat:

I'll probably pop out a few in fiberglass for now and see how those match up and work for you guys. Urethane will probably take a bit longer due to the mold being the most cost effective and time consuming.

LONDON2012 04-06-2012 09:06 PM

Hoping it works out cost effectively as well!

sfearl1 04-06-2012 09:07 PM

are you doing any custom variations?

I'm working on a custom rear diffuser and custom splash guard. Possibly custom front bumper and lip depending on how well the NISMO parts do.

MattP725 04-07-2012 09:37 AM

I second the replica that bolts to the factor standard brackets/splash shield.

gtabaz 06-14-2012 08:16 PM

In for EXACT front bumper urethane rep =] PM price!

Peppers 06-14-2012 08:35 PM

Sub'd for updates and pricing. Would love to see a Nismo front replica that mounted to the factory standard brackets/splash shield that's affordable.

Edit: Also, please shave the hamburger! Thank you!

Yup me too.

By the way OP do you have any samples of your products? Pics of finished products installed? ETC...

Footloose301 06-15-2012 01:16 AM

I'm in for the front bumper if the price is right.

Gauge 06-15-2012 08:24 AM

I guess I have a question here. I've taken my bumper off and there is a plastic peice under the car (decent sized) that the bumper bolts into. Are you going to make that peice as well? I'm not sure how good a Nismo bumper would look without that to smooth out the bottom. You can see this from the front of the car, and IMO it would be very noticable it wasn't there.

I'm obviously not interested in buying one :P but just looking out for other people.

hansoac 06-15-2012 12:25 PM

It would be cool if it would look like this, minus the nissan badge.

Huck 06-15-2012 11:06 PM

Updates? I'm really curious...

:iagree: Adds a nice twist. Stay away from replicating the OEM....a little AutoHaus spin of the OEM NISMO would be interesting to a lot.

ZForce 06-16-2012 01:24 AM

Subscribed, looking for either a Nismo replica and interested in your custom work. Any pics of previous work? Whether it be Z or non Z fabs.

KaienZ34 06-16-2012 03:55 PM

Just speaking for myself here, the 370 nismo front without the nissan burger/emblem. That would fit a non nismo 370 without the need for all the extra parts. Like the undertray, fender liners and whatnot.

AreJay 06-16-2012 05:03 PM

Very interested. Please no Nissan Logo thou.

Yes i think this would sell really well. IIRC the extra nismo parts are quite expensive
