Why no love for the 370z?
I was reading up on the Toyota fT86, the car is just recently launched and already we are beginning to see after market parts for it, body kits performance mods etc even before the car hit the show room floors, and this kinda got me thinking, the 370z has been out since 2009, although we do have some parts I still feel that the 370z isn't getting enough love, I mean I remember when the 350 came out misdeed where lined up with new after market parts. Is the 370z that hard to work with, and you can't blame it on the economy like I said look at the FT86 already getting parts and the evos, subuis etc, just feel that the 370z isnt getting the respect it deserves.

it's not that the 370z is not getting respect. it's a niche' car and with the current economy not many kids can afford the car + mods. and for a guy like me that has been modding cars for many years i dont think the 370Z needs many aftermarket bits.
that said, i think there's plenty of parts for the 370Z. more than i would ever need. |
I believe the 370Z has a lot of aftermarkets parts. Do a search and look at the sponsors in this site, you will see.
Like kenchan said "i dont think the 370Z needs many aftermarket bits". |
I can agree with most of this, one of my few complaints is that there's not too many after market hoods for our Z. There's less than 10 different designs, and not many of them are very aggressive or attractive. So far there's two from Seibon that I like and that's about it. But +1 on not needing a crap load of upgrades to make the car sick like you need with a civic or something. I was amazed when I drive my car home (from new York to florida) I remember thinking, could Nissan have done a better job from the factory?

i was a lot happier with this car in it's stock form than previous cars. i think i could live with it stock and be a happy camper. w/ that said, the mod bug always bites... and the aftermarket hasn't disappointed me yet.

It would be nice to see at least two great looking full body kits made stateside.
|
Even with the upgrades they want a Arm and a Leg to get it. I mean 3,000+ for a upgraded body kit. Then you gotta pay for paint and to get put on. Then I was like really what can you upgrade besides the exhaust, radio, bodykit, and maybe throwing a twin turbo in. Other than that its ready.

But mostly I'm talking about performance mods
|
There's tons of performance mods.

Each of the above has at least 3 brands for you to choose from, even the 20hps+ sticker got 3 different style..... What else do you need?? Maybe a Red-Bull for your own performance mod. :bowrofl: |
For selling so few units a year the 370's aftermarket isn't half bad. It could be much worse.
