Why no love for the 370z?

I am very happy with the mods i've done to my 370z, and am glad that Nissan did such an amazing job on the 370z that not much is needed

The biggest reason that the FR-S is seeing such support this early on is because it's been anticipated for a while. Also, the FR-S is cheap enough for kids to be able to pick one up. People that can afford the 370Z are generally older, and many don't have any experience or desire to mod a car. The FR-S is marketed at an entirely different demographic.

Like others have said, the 370Z hasn't been left out in the cold. Plenty of stuff available.

i agree with most not a lot you can do with the 370. meaning it's pretty hot
the way it is. if it only had the exhaust note the 350 came with i would be one happy camper........................

When you compare the 350z aftermarket parts to the 370z parts its not even close. the 350z has and had a lot of support! he is right. But its also because our car is made with such great parts from factory and such good craftmanship that we wont see big gains over stock so its not worth it to make.. thats why cobb stop making the theyre tunning port.

This is as simple as supply and demand if you get right to the bottom of it. Last time I checked there has only been around ~30k 370Z's sold since 2009; the 350Z sold 30k in the first year. Of course the 350Z has a big aftermarket, there are more on the road and at this point they are more affordable. The 370Z is still a relatively expensive car even when getting one used. So couple a smaller volume with an even smaller enthusiast group and you get a comparatively small aftermarket. That being said the support for the 370Z is still great even if it is smaller than the other larger volume cars.

FR-S marketed at an entirely different demographic? I don't so... The 370Z isn't all that much more than the 26K or so the FR-S / BR-Z are going to start at. We're not talking an M3 vs. MX-5 here.

Plus younger people are typically far more concerned with a cars #'s so many wouldn't even consider an FR-S out of ignorance. They want the cars with the most HP, fastest 0-60; 1/4 times, etc and hence why you don't see so many 17-25 year olds driving MX-5's.

Older people with more experience understand that test track numbers a lone don't dictate how much a car should be worth and hence will be more interested in cars like the FR-S/BR-Z; MX-5; S2K; etc.

So the demographics of who buys what kind of car goes far beyond price a lone. Plus you may be surprised how many kids get their parents to pay, pay 1/2 and or live at home with no other expenses who can afford cars they otherwise couldn't on their own.
