Squeaky clutch pedal
My clutch pedal has started squeaking. The noise happens about half way between the up and down position. I can feel that something is rubbing in there as well. I took it to the dealer once when it happened before, they tightened the spring and lubed something in there and it stopped for a while. But now it's back, and my warranty just ran out =/ I tried spraying WD-40 at some of the connections/joints that I could get to in there, but it isn't helping at all so obviously I'm not hitting whatever is actually rubbing.
I sort of suspect that the pedal is kind of loose because of the way I depress the clutch: I move my foot not just up but a little to the left when I release the clutch, to get a smoother release. When I was spraying the WD-40 I pushed the pedal with my hand and observed the motion; the pedal now seems to move sideways just a bit as it moves up and down. Does it sound like I'll need to have the clutch pedal replaced? If so, is there a more solid aftermarket option available? Thanks

I have the same noise.. It comes and goes and more noticeable after you drive in it for a while.
After a period of parking (even for a short period). I am a bit concerned but no problem shifting/engage/disengage. I mentioned it to the dealer in case the problem escalates to something bigger but at the moment it's not too bothersome. |

FORUM ATE MY POST (#*(#&@)@)#)@*
I just addressed mine as it was driving me nuts. I would recommend something like Tri Flow Bike Lube instead of WD-40. WD-40 isn't much of a lube as it is a solvent/cleaner. Tri Flow Bike Lube works much better as a lube. I put some news paper behind the clutch pedal assembly (I figure this goes without saying) and sprayed spots and moved the pedal up and down as I hit each spot. The spot circled in orange below was the last spot I hit, and also seemed to be the one causing the noise. After spraying both sides of the pin, move the pin left/right with something you can stick back there to get it distributed in there better. My pedal moves from side to side a little bit too. Seems normal.
