I am working right now but I will see what I can do later. They are aluminum trimmed as stated; the entire pedal is not aluminum. I assume yours are all black? They look just like these:

No, unfortunately, a Z is not yet mine. But I lurk, trying to get a feel for the car before it is MINE, all MINE! BUHAHAHA! I am patient. Disappointing that there's not an "all-aluminum pedals" option. That would seem to be part and parcel of any "Sports package" worth its name.

For the US spec models, all the nissan materials I've seen (including the brochure in my hand) state that only the Touring and Touring/Sport models get the aluminum trim pedals. Base and Base/Sport have standard all black rubber like pedals.
Every Touring I've seen in person had aluminum. And every non-Touring I've seen did not. I'm surprised this is even being debated. Other countries are different. In Japan, the Sport models also get the aluminum trim pedals. |

Update:
I just spoke with Ultimate Pedals. They now carry our pedals for our beloved Z Man, I can't wait to have 'easier' heel-toe sessions......I know, I know, I should have bought the SRM. |

Yeah, I figured.
I called a local Nissan parts dealership asking about the trim and they said they couldn't sell the trim alone. The whole pedal assembly needs to be sold together. I was quoted ~$390 for each pedal (clutch, brake, gas) = ~$1,560. I'm not gonna spend that much money for aluminum trim; not to mention installing the pedal assembly. I guess the 350Z is a lot easier to install as opposed to the 370z which is probably why Nissan hasn't released a pedal trim kit yet as an accessory. Hopefully Ultimate Pedals can make one that looks and fits like the 370z touring model editions. I guess we'll just have to wait and see |

Got my pedals from Ultimate Pedals.
The brake and clutch for the 350Z are what came; they did fit, though I would have preferred them to be a little bit bigger to cover the 'head' of the factory clutch and brake pedals. In any case, I am very happy. I also ordered the wide gas pedal which is specific to the 370Z and for heel-toe use. I almost used double-sided tape to mount it as I did not want to drill. Why did I not want to drill: 1st, cosmetics, and 2nd looking for where the screws should be mounted was somewhat of a challenge. Yeah, yeah, yeah.....this post is useless without pic's. I can't seem to find my camera, but I promise pics will be forthcoming. I am jazzzzzzzzzzzeeeddd!!!!!! Last edited by cab83_750; 10-04-2009 at 06:07 PM. |
