Any recalls on 09+ 370Z?

I just bought a new yellow 09 370z and I was wondering if there is any recalls on our cars?

Thanks! I had problem with my Hatch. It won't open on first push or release button.

Yeah that's a pretty common one, i've been having that one for two years. It doesn't bother me so i just left it that way. I think others have fixed it themselves by taking the black spring/poppers off and putting pennies in them.

Mine only happens rarely in the winter.

Same, all winter long here in Germany i was cursing about it since its a pain if your arms are full.

If you put in the pennies, be sure to limit to no more than 3 or you will dent the hatch.

I have the replacement springs and have had to put two pennies in but I think the sport package makes it worst (spoiler weight).

Friend with a nismo did the penny thing. I think two on each side and it's been working for over a year like that.

Same here.

I did the steering lock earlier this month. It was free under warranty but all said and done I think it cost nearly $900 for parts and labor, IIRC.

Very helpful dealership and had it all done in about 2 hours.

lol @ $900 and also 2hrs. :rofl2: but glad you got it done.

now pull the fuse or cut brown wire before the new one also fails.

Agreed. You're playing with fire unless you pull the fuse. I declined the recall straight out. No reason to have another man touch my baby and get a 'test' drive. Last 'test' drive the mechanic got 4mpg smh...

The Nissan dealership that I had my car inspected at checked to see if my car had the steering lock work done. They came back and said nope but we can knock it out right now. Said BRB let me buy the car first. Took them about an hour and it was done without spending a dime!

My hatch is a b*tch to open. I learned that if you are fast enough after pressing the button, you can get it open with one hand. It doesn't bother me too much because it keeps my reflexes sharp! :)

remove the metal weight in the hatch. there's a DIY on it.
