Where did you apply the washers? Between the seat and the rails? A DIY write up would be really cool.

Default Mounting foot

The mounting foot for the four corners only utilize a flat washer, so thats what I changed to lock washers. Also, there is a bright silver bar that runs from side to side towards the front of the seat. Kinda weak, and its mounted on tabs to the rail itself. I measured that distance from tab to tab and replaced that with flatbar. Pain in the azz to drill the holes........I used stainless.....but the click is a thing of the past. Hope that explains it good enough.

Default Step by step

Dont think photo's are necessary for this one. So here goes step by step:

1. Move seat all the way back.

2. Remove the black caps from the two front seat bolts.

3. Remove two front seat bolts with a 14mm socket.

4. Lift the backrest lever and let the seat back fold forward.

5. Adjust the seat forward so you can access the back two seat bolts.

6. Remove those two black caps and use the 14mm socket to take those bolts out.

7. Tilt the seat assembly back and disconnect the wiring harness.

8. Remove the seat from the car.

9. At this point, there is only 1 (ONE) silver bar that attatches to the rails on both sides that is removable. Remove the two bolts holding that in place with a 10mm wrench.

10. Measure the distance from seat rail to rail.

11. Cut your flat bar, slide it in place and mark your holes for drilling.

12. Install the flatbar. You will need slightly longer bolts now and utilize lock washers for that install as well.

13. Put the seat back in the car. Re-connect your harness.

14. Install your seat bolts in opposite order using lock washers for all four.

Thats it. If you take a flashlight and look under your seat, you will notice the silver tube that I am talking about in Step #9. There are other silver rods under the seat, but they are tacked in place. The one you remove and replace with flatbar is the only one with 10mm bolts.

Haven't noticed this problem yet as I only drive my Z on weekends, but when it arises I'll have the parts waiting. Thanks a lot.
