egg will etch the paint if left in the sun. I would get a bucket of hot or warm soapy water (a car shampoo soap I mean) get a microfiber towel soak the towel and just take it out and leave it on the area with the egg on it... keep it there for a few minutes and see if it wipes off. If not keep doing it until it softens it enough.

If you live in this sort of area you may want to invest in either opti-coat or cquartz as a paint protector... you could even get the whole car covered with the clear bra, but that can be expensive.

No it's not... it's fun as hell to shoot people like that with a pellet gun when they don't think anyone's watching them though. The reaction from the sting they get is f*ckin' priceless!

If you can catch them, nail their parents. Otherwise you are boned man.

I'm not saying I wouldn't be pissed too. I would. I'm just saying, kids will be kids. Everyone does stupid stuff like this as a kid, and if you say you didn't, you are a liar, or you lived a VERY sheltered life.

I dont what your parents where like but as a little kid I was taught that you respect other peoples stuff. People work hard for their stuff and you should not touch it or damage it. I remember one time when I was like 10 I climbed into the bed of someones pickup in front of our house. I did not cause any damage but I got a good talking to by my parents about why I should not do that. I can honestly say growing up I have never purposly damaged anyones property.

:iagree:, Same here. Just another hater, so sad. I had what i thought was someone give me props this past Saturday. I was taking Vanity out for some weekend fun with my wife and this dude in a gen 1 Scion XB pulled up next to me, both passenger and driver taking pics with their cell phones (while driving, turned completely sideways to take the pic). I threw the driver the deuce (peace sign) with a huge smile on my face because i was enjoying her (as i always do regardless) on a pretty nice and clean stretch of road with a few twisties , he looked mad that I acknowledged him taking the pic. Haters are unpredictable, i'll tell you that, you would think he was a true Z fan. That's the reason my 370z stays garaged and she is my weekend fun toy, and not my daily driver. I'm sure you'll know, not everybody works in a car appreciating work environment, most of these haters on the job are gonna hate on the fact of the you have a nice new (pretty exclusive) sports car, rather than appreciating the R&D, and the precision of engineering that was used to create such a pure bred sports car.

:iagree: If I ever did anything like that as a kid my dad would have kicked my ***.

same here, except my mom would have given me the beat down. I did mess around back in the day but it was never any permanent damage.

kenchan 03-26-2012 11:30 AM

yah, i eggs are notorious for making those paint chips and marks. :(

i would call your local police to file a report, tell your apartment manager what's going on, contact insurance to get your car fixed.

and get yourself a garage.

tonythetiger 03-26-2012 11:33 AM

dude sorry to hear that, hope karma goes after those punks! my car got keyed last yr, very devastated from it

Gauge 03-26-2012 12:44 PM

Not a hater. I just had more fun as a kid than you did. You're the one hating. Clearly as a child it's the most fun to always draw in the lines. You are all SOOOO innocent because a Z was damaged lol. I call BS. You did something. TP a house, tip a cow, something. Just for the shear stupidity of it. If you didn't then I'm sorry for you, because you had a very sheltered life. Childhood is no time to be an adult. If you are an adult as a child, you missed out on childhood. In your own words, "haters gonna hate". I'm in the boat of, kids will be kids. It's you vs. them.

Still sorry for the OP. I would set up the camera in the window and nail 'em. Because, conversely, nothing would give me more pleasure as an adult then showing a kids parents the video of him doing it and his ******* puckering when I tell his parents how much it will cost them ><

check with your insurance agent. some policies, like the one i have, cover vandalism under comprehensive. you probably have a copy of your policy details with relative information.

Tipping cows? For real??? When I was a kid, you might get shot messing with someones stuff. Don't get me started about what happened if you were sporting something nice like some Jordans or a cool bike.

To OP:

It's horrible that this happened, but just try to make amends and move on. Karma, "what goes around...comes around", and all that works both ways!
